i need help implementing a mod into my game

i usually dont do community requests, but since all of my recourses of google and youtube are gone i shoot my shot and here i am, how do i put some kind of Doom related mod into my SRB2 (i am on mobile and use zarchiver) i tried implementing the Doom1.Wad specifically, because thats what i need. if anyone can be kind enough to help me implement the mod into my game i would be really grateful

Breaking news from a couple months ago: Drippy is playable now

I can't find any posts about this and only see one video of him on YouTube, so I figured I'd spread the word about user PikaJade's Kit mod. He plays a bit like Mario Sunshine on crack, with the ability to hover, dive, ground stomp, and bounce off of walls. And he can even be paired up with Surge, allowing you to switch between the two of them. It's pretty fun and I was able to beat some levels that were intended for a Generations Sonic mod, so I think he's got some nice versatility to him.

What are the default colors for each vanilla character?

I cannot seem to find this on the official wiki, and a Google search turns up nothing useful – just tells me everyone's green for some reason, which I suspect is an answer to a question I did not actually ask, or at least didn't mean to ask.

There's a lot of colors in multiplayer, and I'm pretty sure each character has one set as their unchanging "default" in Single Player mode, but it's incredibly difficult to eyeball it, and I don't know how to break the game open to check the character data myself.

Thoughts on SRB2's future and the game's reception.

Outside of the game's little community, you always hear "wow this game's been in development for how long?" And "this game fucking sucks".

"This game fucking sucks" is pretty common to hear, y'know? A beginner installs the game, grabs a controller and has the worst time of their life because this game indeed fucking sucks, but it only sucks on controller.

I can't blame them because how are they supposed to know that the best way to play is on keyboard and mouse? I bet people wouldn't dislike the game's controls as much if the devs simply put "It's recommended to play on keyboard and mouse" when you start the game up and set the default control scheme to manual or strafe.

As a result of this, STJr considered rehauling the game to remove what makes SRB2 unique and instead make it another (sorry don't mean to offend by using the M word) "momentum go down the funny slope and go high" type of Sonic fangame.

I disagree with that direction. Thankfully, Sonic Team Jr lowered the scope of v2.3, and that's how should be to me. Just focus on finishing the campaign instead of remaking the whole game, keep the thok, make the game a bit less slippery, make the radius for when Tails can pick you up a smidge bigger and add that keyboard and mouse disclaimer I suggested.

This game is best and just more fun on keyboard and mouse. You know that open area in Red Volcano Act 1 with all those Pterabytes who swoop down to catch you if you're too close? I love to thok and hit one of the Pterabytes, go flying in the air with tons of speed, and then slow down to to hit a lone Unidus (the spherical badnik who throws spikes at you) right in the middle so I don't get hit by the spikes and continue going flying. It's so fun, and I don't want that gone.

Why is the game not recognizing my mods?

I have made sure to put the mods in the addons folder of the game. the game is not installed in downloads or program files, but it's installed in a special tree of folders I have on one of my hard drives dedicated to games I download from the Internet. Every source I have checked thus far has made it clear that I have done everything right. And yet: when I go to the addons section of the main menu, and check the addons folder, it simply tells me that it doesn't detect any mods, even though I clearly have mods installed.

The error message says: Default folder\addons\ This folder is empty. (Press a key)

the two mods I have installed are the Trip mod (which is a .pk3 file) and the Jump Leniency mod (which is a .lua).

I am using 2.2.1.5, which to my understanding is the latest version. I also have the SRB2 Reveries build installed on the same hard drive, which I would not assume would cause any issues, but I can't rule out it causing a conflict.

As stated earlier: other people have seemingly had similar problems, but this did not help me find solutions. I bring up this much detail so that people don't assume that I haven't done anything I'm supposed to do. Can anyone explain what's going on?

EDIT: I restarted my computer just to see if that would fix the issue. At first it seemed like the issue persisted, but then I noticed when I checked the addons folder, there were no files. So I copy and pasted the files onto who who the addons folder, and they now appear. But I can't seem to enable them for some reason. And restarting the computer again does not fix it. I'll try to look up why the addons aren't working, and if I can't find anything: I'll make a new post about this specific issue later. But back to the original issue: I suppose dragging and dropping create a dummy files or something, so there were actually no falls for the game to detect, Despite my computer telling me there were. So I guess that's the issue.
