s1300i and ScanSnap Home on macOS after Tahoe

I'm using the ScanSnap s1300i on an M1 MacBook Pro using macOS Tahoe with ScanSnap Home (v 3.4.0). It works fine but I just got a warning that "Intel-based apps" won't work with future versions of macOS. It linked to this page at apple.com.

I can see that there's an Apple Silicon version of ScanSnap Home but it says current versions of the software are only compatible with "iX100, iX1300, iX1400, iX1600, iX2400, iX2500, SV600".

Anyone else in this situation? I don't want to install that and find I can no longer scan.

I do have VueScan, which I've seen people say might work, but I've not yet tried it with my ScanSnap because I like the (sort of) simplicity of ScanSnap Home.

ScanSnap Updates are a pain

Every single update I have to click on the button to open the new privacy policy and click the checkbox to confirm that I agree with it. Why? Do you guys recognize that no other company is doing this? Not even Microsoft is doing this with Windows.
Imagine any software on my laptop, PC and mobile phone would ask for the same procedure. It would take me hours each month to confirm all the updates.

ix1300 won't connect to Wifi AND the USB connection doesn't work either

Had it connected but then updated our modem and name of Wifi connection and it won't connect now. Have been through the "setup without using USB" and it finds the network/wifi but won't connect after entering PW. (All other devices are connecting fine.) Any tips?
