Hey guys,

I need some help with a weird Steam bug on macOS. I'm trying to play Scritchy Scratchy.

Every time I click the green PLAY button in Steam, two macOS pop-ups appear saying the game "unexpectedly quit last time" and asking to "Reopen windows".

Once I click through those pop-ups, the game actually opens and runs perfectly fine. I can play it without problems.

The Issue: While I am inside the game, Steam doesn't recognize that it's running. In my Steam library, the button stays green and still says PLAY (instead of turning into a blue "STOP" button). Because of this, Steam is completely frozen at "3 minutes" of playtime and none of my achievements are unlocking, even though I've already played for 2 hours.

It seems like the game process completely detaches from Steam right at launch due to those macOS crash pop-ups.

Has anyone experienced this? How can I fix this so Steam hooks into the game process correctly and tracks my time/achievements again? Thanks!

I'm really struggling to make money... I can only unlock the 2nd catalog. All of my upgrades are in the trillions and I'm struggling to stay in the middle hundred billions. Not sure what the problem is, I've only unlocked Mundo Speed as the last gadget. I've been prioritizing luck, which now costs 1.2T, and my JP has gone 3 point in Booster Pack, 3 to Completionist, 3 to Ignorance is Bliss (I should remove those), 2 to Big Winner and 2 to Less is More. I also have 2 in Tool Belt.

I try to stay away from tickets that don't get fully scratched besides The Bomb, which I assumed I'd make money using but can only afford one or two a turn and it's actually been losing me money.

Any recommendations?

Edit just to add this is honestly my biggest problem with any rogue like. Run after run and I'm making zero progress. I understand in the early levels I'm weak and need to upgrade but then I always seem to hit a wall and refuse to dedicate hours upon hours to tiny pieces of upgrades. I don't have time and sucks the fun out of the game. I don't have time for the grind and repeating the same actions with no actual progress is not fun for me.

I had a lot of fun with this especially in the first few playthrus and getting up to the ending, but the JP required to max the prestige tree is way too high, I think my last 5 or so runs were just farming JP by getting the catalogue 3 and 4 super jackpots and resetting as that gets you pretty close to the max amount of jp per run, but waiting around for super jackpots at max speed still takes a decent amount of time.

I also can't prove this but I feel like the upgrade that lets the cat bin bad tickets also bins super jackpot tickets if they would also have a loss at all, and potentially tickets that may have one bad symbol but enough good symbols where you'd still come out on top, specifically with something like scratch my back where you might get one plastic bag but 3 jelly fish etc

Something that lets you instantly bin the entire table would be pretty nice as at max speed id get the super jackpot I need and still have a massive pile of tickets i had no use for on the table that I had to just wait out.

Hotkey prestige does nothing on mobile, would be nice to have it let you hold the claim button to claim tickets without having to click everytime or something.

Also the phone mentions after going bankrupt with 3 loans you will die and that doesn't happen at all, you can just keep getting loans, found this out on accident when experimenting with starting with 3 loans for the prestige unlock that multiplies your winnings by your loan amount.

Google play also has a couple of random achievements that aren't in game and lists the speedrun criteria as being 10 minutes but still awards under 30.

Other than these small gripes it was a very fun little game for about 10 hours or so and I hope to see it expanded on.
