I built a mostly autonomous Shopify SEO workflow and need completely open feedback

Founder disclosure: I built MGO Data and its DT model.

DT handles most of the work automatically:

- Audits the store

- Diagnoses technical SEO and AI-visibility issues

- Prioritizes what should be addressed

- Creates individual tasks

- Drafts supported fixes

- Sends them for merchant approval

- Applies supported Shopify changes

- Checks the live result

- Rolls back failed or conflicting changes

The merchant does not have to understand every SEO term or manually turn an audit into a

plan. Approval is required before DT changes the store.

Current automatic Shopify writes include supported SEO titles, meta descriptions, and

eligible sitewide JSON-LD. Content and FAQ tasks can be planned, but full content

publishing is not automatic yet.

DT also has an advertising lane that turns business goals, economics, offers, and creative

assets into structured Meta, Google Search, and TikTok campaign plans. It prepares

campaign and ad-set structures, including supported Meta CBO/ABO decisions, checks

tracking and account readiness, and places actions behind approval.

I am not claiming guaranteed rankings, AI citations, or proven advertising performance.

Real ad-account execution is still being validated.

MGO Data is currently free to test. I want completely open feedback about anything useful,

incorrect, confusing, missing, unnecessary, or difficult to trust.

Logo Carousel & Logo Slider: a Shopify app that turns your real stockists, press, partner, and client logos into a polished trust strip

Founder disclosure: I’m posting on behalf of BACKLIP, the team that built this app.

What’s the app?

BL Logo Showcase is a Shopify app for creating a responsive scrolling logo carousel. It helps merchants display the stockists, clients, partners, press outlets, certifications, brand collaborations, and other logos they are genuinely authorized to show.

Where can I find it?

Shopify App Store: https://apps.shopify.com/bl-logo-showcase?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=bl_logo_showcase&utm_content=shopifyapps_app_promo

What problem are you solving?

Many stores have earned legitimate trust signals but do not show them where a new visitor can see them. A brand may have retail partners, wholesale clients, a press mention, a certification, or recognizable suppliers, yet the logos are often uneven, buried in a footer, or left off the site because a polished section requires theme work.

The merchant has earned the credibility. The storefront simply presents it weakly.

How does the app work?

Install the app, add the logos you are authorized to use, then configure the carousel's layout, speed, styling, and placement to fit the theme. The logos display in a continuous scrolling loop and are designed to work across desktop and mobile. On supported stores, setup does not require editing theme code.

Who’s your target merchant?

It is designed for B2B stores, wholesale brands, multi-brand retailers, agencies, manufacturers, product catalogues, and DTC brands with a legitimate “trusted by,” “available at,” “featured in,” “our partners,” or “our certifications” story to tell.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

We kept the job narrow: help a merchant turn authorized third-party recognition into one clear, branded trust section instead of building a custom logo area from scratch. The app focuses on a smooth continuous carousel, responsive presentation, no-code setup, and simple styling controls. It is Built for Shopify and currently has a 5.0 rating from 6 reviews.

It should not be used to imply endorsements or partnerships that do not exist. Only display logos you have permission to use.

How much does it cost?

The app is free for Shopify partner development stores. Standard pricing is currently $1.99/month or $19/year, with a 3-day free trial. Please check the App Store listing for the current plan details before installing.

What are you looking for?

I’m looking for feedback from merchants who have real brand, retailer, partner, client, press, or certification logos but have struggled to present them cleanly. Which trust signal matters most on your storefront: stockists, press, client logos, certifications, or something else? Where do you place it today?

Built a Shopify app that rewrites product page SEO and pushes it live, instead of leaving you a list of things to fix by hand

We just launched this, and the pattern we built it around is one you see on almost every Shopify store: the theme fills the meta title with "Product Name - Store Name", the description is whatever the supplier sent, half the images have no alt text, and the products sit uncategorized with no GTIN. Every one of those is a known fix. None of them get done, because doing them across 300 products by hand is a week of work that never gets scheduled.

What it checks per page: meta title and description, keyword coverage, content depth, image alt text, and the structured data underneath. Is the product schema there and actually parsing, is there a GTIN, is availability declared, is the product categorized, are the required attributes complete.

What it does before writing: pulls the competitors' pages ranking for that product, what people are actually searching for around it, and keyword demand with volume and CPC. So the rewrite targets what's actually winning that query rather than generic advice.

Then it rewrites the page, generates product images with alt text, and pushes it live to your store in one click. After that it tracks your keyword rankings and what your competitors change.

Happy to get into detail on how the scoring works, and I'd love to hear your feedback.

Best Shopify AI chatbot for product recommendations + custom order tracking?

I’m looking for a Shopify chatbot for a medical equipment store. The main requirements are:

  • AI product recommendations based on customer needs and product attributes
  • FAQ / knowledge base support
  • Ability to handle more complex recommendation logic (for example installation, WG delivery, supplier installer, compatibility, etc.)
  • Custom order tracking where the live operational status comes from ClickUp, not only Shopify
  • Ideally the chatbot should be able to call an external API/webhook during the conversation, so we can use Make.com or n8n to query ClickUp and return the current order status
  • Human handoff when needed

I’m currently comparing Shopify Inbox, Tidio/Lyro, Zipchat, Juphy, and Chatty.

Has anyone implemented something similar? Which chatbot worked best, especially for custom API calls and more complex product recommendation logic?

I building Shopify apps - here are the 8 we’ve shipped and the exact problem each one solves

I build Shopify apps, and instead of one giant all-in-one suite I’ve shipped 8 focused apps, each one aimed at a specific headache we kept watching stores run into: conversion tracking going dark, COD parcels bouncing back, cash frozen in dead stock, GDPR admin, and money left on the table at checkout.

I won’t pretend this isn’t self-promotion, it is. But I tried to make it actually useful: below is an honest 2–3 line breakdown of what each app does and who it’s for, so you can skip the 7 that don’t apply to you and look at the 1 that might. Most have a free plan or a free trial, so you can test before paying a cent.

Full list on our Shopify partner page: https://apps.shopify.com/partners/trackwise

Grow revenue / average order value

Bundle & Upsell Suite - https://apps.shopify.com/bundle-upsell-suite
Product bundles, volume discounts, BOGO, cross-sells, add-ons (gift wrap, etc.) and cart upsells with a free-shipping progress bar. Discounts apply automatically at checkout and the widgets match your theme. Best for raising average order value without spending more on ads.

Encore Post-Purchase Upsell - https://apps.shopify.com/encore-upsell-post-purchase
One-click offers on the thank-you / order-status page, charged to the card the customer just used, no second checkout, no re-entering payment details. Includes countdown timers, A/B testing, downsells and post-purchase surveys. A low-risk way to add revenue after the sale is already locked in.

Advanced Product Options - https://apps.shopify.com/advanced-product-options-3
Adds custom product options beyond Shopify’s variant limits: swatches, dropdowns, checkboxes, text fields, file uploads, conditional logic and per-option pricing. Perfect for personalized or made-to-order products (engraving, configurators, add-ons). Reusable option sets apply across many products at once.

Kept Subscriptions - https://apps.shopify.com/kept-subscriptions
Launch “subscribe & save” with a customizable widget, a self-service customer portal (skip / pause / swap / cancel), build-a-box and win-back campaigns. Built-in dunning automatically retries failed payments to cut involuntary churn. Good for turning one-time buyers into predictable recurring revenue.

Protect margins & operations

COD Fraud Guard - https://apps.shopify.com/cod-fraud-guard
Scores every cash-on-delivery buyer using real delivered / returned / cancelled order data from a cross-store risk network, then hides or restricts COD at checkout for risky customers. Also validates phone numbers and addresses. Cuts refused and unclaimed parcels, a huge deal in COD-heavy markets.

TrackWise Dead Stock Alert - https://apps.shopify.com/dead-stock-alert
Flags slow, aging and dead inventory and shows you exactly how much cash is locked up in it. One-click clearance campaigns create the discounts for you, with margin-protected markdown suggestions and “do-not-reorder” flags. Great for freeing up working capital and cleaning up your catalog.

Tracking & compliance

Pixel – Server-Side Tracking - https://apps.shopify.com/track-wise-sst
Sends conversion events to Meta, TikTok, Google and Pinterest through their server-side Conversions APIs instead of relying only on the browser pixel. Recovers conversions lost to ad blockers and iOS privacy changes and pushes event match quality above 90, so your ad platforms optimize on cleaner data. Roughly 5-minute, no-code setup.

EU Shield GDPR Compliance - https://apps.shopify.com/eu-shield-gdpr
Handles cookie consent (Google Consent Mode v2), GDPR/GPSR data requests and auto-generated legal pages (privacy policy, terms, cookie policy) in one app, with audit-ready, exportable consent logs. Good for any store selling into the EU that wants to stay compliant without hiring a lawyer.

That’s the whole lineup. Happy to answer any questions in the comments, and I’m genuinely open to feedback — if there’s a feature you wish existed or something that annoys you, tell me and it’ll probably end up on the roadmap. Thanks for reading.

Shopify Support tools: Is anyone else's support software cost scaling faster than their order volume? How much are you actually paying for AI support once you add up all the fees?

So based on all I have seen and from experience, Most AI support tools price on some version of per-resolution, per-seat, or credit pools. Looks fine on the pricing page. Then order volume goes up, support conversations go up with it, and the bill goes up faster than either. A few tools even double-bill, the automated resolution counts as a normal ticket AND gets a separate AI fee on top of it. Nobody explains that upfront, you find it on the invoice.

For the last 7 years I've worked support and CX across ecommerce and SaaS, most of it Shopify-specific. I did a stint at Replo (YC S21), worked on a Shopify compliance app, and spent a long stretch at an agency managing support across roughly 60 enterprise Shopify stores at once. Different brands, different products, same recurring problem: every AI support tool I touched got more expensive the better it worked. Per resolution, per ticket, stacked on top of whatever the base plan already cost. Automate more of your support, get billed more for the automation. That always felt backwards to me, and I watched it hit real stores' margins during their busiest months, which is exactly when they needed the automation most.

The other thing that bugged me: a lot of these tools answer questions and stop there. Someone asks about a refund, gets pointed at a policy page, still has to email you anyway. The actual time-consuming part of support, changing an address, processing a return, applying a discount, still lands on you.

So i am genuinely curious: what are you all actually paying once you count every fee, and does it scale with volume the way the sticker price suggested it would

Disclosure: I'm the founder, posting this directly rather than through a marketing account. Arbyn is an AI agent for Shopify stores that handles support and sells on your storefront. The difference from most "AI chatbot" apps: it doesn't just answer questions, it executes real Shopify actions.

What it actually does:

Live order status lookups Refunds, cancellations, discounts, gift cards, reship, and returns, approval-gated, you get a one-tap approval, then it runs the actual Shopify mutation itself

Sells on your storefront: product recommendations, upsells, live chat sales assist

Learns your store's voice over its first 50 convers

https://apps.shopify.com/arbyn. If you also support multiple clients on shopify I'd like to speak to you as well

Improve conversion rates and help shoppers find products they’ll love through smart AI-generated questions.

What's the app?

Guiver helps shoppers find products they’ll love through smart AI-generated questions. Each answered question pulls only matching products from the catalog.

Demo store: https://coffee.guiver.ai

Video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqAG5fNzG9Y&t=169s

Where can I find it?

Shopify app store: https://apps.shopify.com/guiver-product-finder

What problem are you solving?

The "Paradox of choice" leaves your customers unsure which products to buy. This leads to abandoned carts and low conversion rates. Guiver solves this by being a concierge to your products.

How does the app work?

Guiver adds a floating "Help me decide" button to your storefront. When a shopper clicks it, Guiver opens a guided flow that asks a few targeted questions — like product type, budget, and features — then surfaces matching products from your catalog in real time. Setup is instant: install the app, enable the widget from the Theme Editor, and Guiver automatically connects to your store's products. Nothing else.

Who's your target merchant?

Any merchant who has many SKUs and/or low conversion rates.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

  • It's not an AI chat. AI chats assume your customers know what to ask. But customers don't know about your products yet. Most of the time they only have a vague sense of what they need. Guiver flips the script: it asks shoppers uniquely generated questions from their search about your products. With each answered question it lists only the matching products from your catalog.
  • It's not a quiz. Quizzes have three shortcomings:
    1. You have to answer all questions. In contrast, Guiver refreshes the products with each answered question.
    2. Delayed gratification. At the end of the quiz you have to enter your email and have the results emailed to you later. In contrast, Guiver provides your matching products instantaneously.
    3. Quizzes are a one size fits all. In contrast, Guiver generates a unique set of questions for each customer based on what they're looking for.
  • It's a real time product concierge

How much does it cost?

Free and paid plans from $50/mo.

What are you looking for?

Looking for 3-5 beta testers.

  1. What I offer
    1. Concierge on-boarding
    2. 3 free months for the "Pro" plan
    3. free Google Analytics consultancy (ex-Google Analytics engineer here)
  2. What I'd like in return
    1. Feedback on the product
    2. Willingness to work with me through the kinks while fixing the app's shortcomings.

Please comment if you want to be one of the 3 beta testers.
