My brand new Vostok Amphibia

Just got it today. I don't know why, but I keep coming back to Amphibias. There is something so charming and unique to them...

Timex Fairlawn Avenue

New to me, and just plain new, as I had to take all the plastic off when I got it. The original orange nylon strap was horrendous, so I put it on this NATO and improved the look 1,000%. Really like it now.

It's the weekend......

Admit it - you can hear the ticking through your screen. It's on this NATO today, but who knows what it might be on tomorrow? Simple and versatile enough that a quick change can suit many different occasions.

AP x Swatch dropping May 16… future hit or total flop?

Curious what everyone thinks about this collab between Swatch and Audemars Piguet.

Is this going to be another hit like the MoonSwatch, or just hype that fades away?

Would you actually try to get one?

Militado ML05

I was looking for a simple field watch as an upgrade from my beloved Expedition Scout. I saw this and checked the reviews and decided to pull the trigger. Oh man is this a sweet little watch. 38mm, 100m WR, screw down crown, domed sapphire crystal. The VH31 movement makes the seconds hand "sweep", not your usual 1 tick per second from a quartz. It's extremely accurate, i've had it for about 2 months and just before I posted I checked against my phone, 3 seconds slow. The only thing is the lume could be better, fades fairly quickly. That's a compromise I'm willing to live with because I absolutely love this watch.

What made you fall in love with watches?

Curious what got you into watches in the first place, because everyone has a different story.

Was it your first watch? A gift? The design? The craftsmanship? Or maybe a memory?

Let me know!

If you could only own ONE watch under $1000, what would it be?

Trying to find the best simple, everyday watch without overpaying.

Curious what you’d pick if you had to choose just one.

Why Casio still wins in 2026 (and why I keep going back to it)

I’ve owned everything from entry-level automatics to a little more expensive “entry-luxury” pieces, but I keep finding myself going back to Casio.

There’s something about how they get the basics so right:
Reliability first, you can beat them up and they just keep working.
Zero maintenance lifestyle, no worrying about servicing or accuracy drift.
Design that just works, simple, functional, and honestly timeless in its own way.

The funny thing is, the more I learned about watches, the more I appreciated Casio instead of outgrowing it.

A few things I think most people underestimate:
The finishing isn’t “luxury,” but it’s incredibly purposeful
Even the cheapest models feel more “thought-out” than they get credit for.
They’re basically the definition of a true daily beater without stress.

Right now I’m rotating between a few pieces, but I always end up throwing a Casio back on when I don’t want to think about it.

Curious if others here also “come back” to Casio after trying more expensive watches, or if I’m just stuck in the simplicity trap? 😄

Eddie Bauer Quartz

Eddie Bauer quartz watch, thrifted, vintage. Maybe from the late ‘90s or early 2000s. Keeps great time in the month or so that I’ve had it.

Beauty in Simplicity

Let's be honest here. Not every watch needs to be a statement.

There's something freeing about wearing a watch you have zero anxiety about. No second-guessing before you start digging in the garden, working on the car or leaving the house in general.

There is unarguably a time to wear a Seiko/Tissot/Citizen/Orient etc. but slapping a good ol' fashioned simple watch on your wrist, just feels right.
