Billy Beer was a real brand of beer introduced in 1977, promoted by Billy Carter. It was produced by Falls City Brewing Company and was short-lived, ceasing production in 1978 due to poor sales and Billy Carter famously admitting he preferred Pabst Blue Ribbon.
