Fujifilm XM5 vs Sony ZV-E10 II, What Would You Prioritize?
Hi everyone!
I'm getting ready to upgrade from my old reliable Sony a7, as I'd like to be able to shoot video in 4K (and I've really run my a7 into the ground; to the point that the screen does not work anymore. I bought it used, so it only had so much life in it to begin with.)
I'd like to treat myself to something brand new. I know this question between these two cameras has been posed before, but I haven't seen too many thoughts on my specific question, so I figured there's no harm in asking again.
I'm currently between the Fujifilm XM5 and the Sony ZV-E10 II. Id like to be able to use my new camera for
-music photography/videography (in low-lit bars)
-travel photography/videography (mostly in sunlight)
As per my research, the Sony excels with low-light videography, but suffers with photography with its electronic shutter. At the same time, the Fuji does well with photography with its mechanical shutter, but suffers with low-light videography, which I'd need for shooting local bands in dive bars (I'm mostly shooting family members' bands, otherwise I'd upgrade my venues of choice lol.)
I feel like I could get away with either for travel vlog work. I know the Fuji has worse stabilization (and I know neither have IBIS), but I figure I'll be purchasing a stabilizing mount either way so I'm not super worried about it.
TL;DR just based on my criteria of low-light video vs. still photography, which camera would you choose?
