Urine stains

What have you found that removes urine stains? Mother is now bedfast and in transition. She is wearing diapers. Some urine got on her “lifter” - the thick, waterproof pad that we use to pull her up in bed. I pretreated it with laundry stain remover and washed it in the washing machine on hot water, along with some sheets and gowns. The stain was lightened but not removed. I did not put it in the dryer. Instead, I treated it again and scrubbed it with a brush and soaked it overnight in the washer with oxyclean and hot water. I ran it through the washer the next day. Still stained. I hung it on a clothesline to dry.

What should I try next?

Husband in need…

I got my wife a pair of boots and a bag for her birthday this weekend. However her friend got her a bag of “limoncello” that broke in the bag… This year has been rough, and this small thing has crumpled her. I am attaching a photo of the bag in the post. I really need some help on how to clean it. It’s a miron Crosby bag. It’s almost like a canvas material. The canvas was custom painted with her name. If I have to get it repainted so be it, but any help would mean a lot.

Stain on cheer uniform

Hi! We have a new cheerleader in the house and she just got her uniform. It has a couple of stains from last year. No clue what they are - looks like it could be soda or coffee? What would you recommend for trying to lift the stains?

Also - the loose strings on the T are annoying to me. Can I trim those without harming the uniform?

Can anyone help me remove this stain from my lil guy?! 🥺

I had this little “Prada” black corduroy hat on him with little overalls and the hat stained his forehead!!! 😫
I already tried:
•magic eraser (no change)
•Dawn (no change)
•Alcohol (no change)
•Non-acetone nail polish remover (no change)
•Acetone nail polish remover - pure acetone (no change on the stain; I only ended up erasing some of the pain on the temples/top of the cheeks 😩)

I don’t know what else to try to fix this without messing anything else on his face up 😞

Any suggestions?

Marker removal

Not sure if this is the right place or not but hoping to get some help with this one!

I’ve recently acquired this vest to use for some hobby stuff (reenactment) and got a good deal on it due to the amount of modern graffiti on it.

The graffiti is definitely period original and so I’m looking at removing it.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to try and get it out? As best as I can tell the graffiti seems to be done with some kind of marker, and the shell of the vest should be a tight weave cotton poplin (I believe).

I had read that acetone or isopropyl alcohol could be used to reactivate and remove the ink and while it is working it’s also bleaching the green from the vest (see the heavily faded patch on the back).

So, does anyone have any recommendations that might work without stripping the green?

Blue stains from orange colored juice

Hello. I need your help with something.

I have a white cotton dress (for a toddler) and it got stained with orange colored fruit nectar (apricots, peaches, and a kind of fruit i don't find the english word for)

After several hours i soaked it in warm water and oxy powder, after i sprayed with pink stuff stain remover and tossed it in the washing machine with persil detergent. I washed at 30 celsius (86 fahrenheit) and it came out with blue stains where the orange stains were. Then it was dried on the hanger, inside the house.

Now i've tried white vinegar and lemon salt and nothing happened. What can i try next? The dress is white but has some colored embroidered flowers on. Should i insist with the products? Would they go away if i let it in the sun several days?

OxiClean removed years of caked-on tea stains from my stainless steel pot

Like the title says --

I had a stainless steel pot with some seriously caked-on tea stains. I tried Comet and Bar Keepers Friend with basically no luck. Citric acid helped a little, but the stains were still very much there.

What finally worked: I filled the pot with boiling water, added about 1 tsp of OxiClean, and let it soak for a few hours.

The stains came off easily afterward, and the pot looks brand new. I was honestly surprised by how well it worked, so I figured I’d share in case anyone else is fighting stubborn tea stains on stainless steel.

How can I remove red fake-blood dye from bones?

I have this bones necklace that I used in a goth blood rave party last week, and it got stained with the fake blood. I’m trying to remove the staining without damaging the bones.

I’ve already tried:

- Water + dish soap

- Toothpaste and gentle scrubbing with a toothbrush

- Baking Soda + dish soap and also scrubbing with the toothbrush

Unfortunately, none of these made much difference.

Does anyone have experience removing fake blood / red food dye / theatrical blood stains from bone?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

What is causing this?

Same location multiple cotton t-shirts ruined. Can’t figure it out. No oils or fancy creams used regularly to cause it. Use a front loader with normal Costco detergent. This one looks blue but mostly clear oil looking stain. Breast pocket area of front of shirts. 4-5 shirts stained. No idea! Hoping for ideas to prevent this from happening again. Thanks all!

Need help with mystery stain

Hi all, I’m visiting family and my adult nephew’s concert t-shirt has a yellow stain along it the hem that he can’t get out. He said it’s not sunscreen, but he’s not sure what it’s from. Any suggestions?

What he’s already done that hasn’t worked:
-put it through the normal washing machine and dryer
-spot treated with liquid detergent and soaked it in water overnight (I think he uses Arm and Hammer)

My available materials here on vacation: Puracy enzyme stain spray, Tide liquid detergent, Febu, and dish soap. If need be, I can go to the store to buy other things.

Since I don’t know what kind of stain it is, not sure if I should focus on enzymes or surfactants. Should I do a Febu soak just for that area (since there are graphics on the front of the shirt)?

Open to recommendations!

Getting fountain pen ink off white walls?!

As in the title I am looking to somehow remove or mask the dried blue Parker fountain pen ink off a white textured wall!! Any help/ideas greatly appreciated. It doesn’t matter if there is a bit of loss of colour or texture to the wall as my landlord doesn’t really care about the walls being perfect there are loads of blemishes in the walls already, but ideally I’d get rid of the bright blue spots!

Please help, my white lace tank top turned kinda blue in the laundry 💔💔💔

I made the dumb decision of trying to save water by putting my white LACE tank top in the laundry today with my jeans and it turned blue. I suspect it might also be the tide pod’s fault because the liquid inside it is dark blue 😔 any ideas how to turn it back to white again, I got this top 2 weeks ago pls don’t do this to me 💔💔

I searched online and it says not to use bleach and use some color stain remover. I don’t have any of that, and the only bleach I have is this. I washed the load in ‘colors’

I am not okay right now. White lace tank top if you could turn white again I would never ever put you in a dark load of clothes again and I will forever hand wash you for eternity

What happened to my couch

So I just noticed this darken area in my couch. I haven’t spilled anything, or left anything wet on it that I can recall. Not sure what happened here and it doesn’t smell like anything… any ideas on what this is or how to clean?
