Check Engine Light Reset
I have a 21 Street Bob (114). It gave me trouble starting when I left work today, acting like the battery was dead, but started after a couple of minutes. The clock did reset to flashing 12:00 though, and of course now the check engine light is on. Rode home, parked in the driveway for a few minutes, then when I went out to back it into the garage, I hit the starter and it fired right up.
How do I reset the check engine light? Everything I find online is pressing a series of buttons on the bike, including turning the ignition switch to on.
My bike has no ignition switch. When I flip the kill switch to run, everything lights up.
What do I do? I don’t want to pay a shop an hour of labor to reset this when I know good and well there has to be a way I can do it myself.
