Lines at Summerfest July 4, 2026

We tried to attend Summerfest last night, and arrived more than an hour before the concert we wanted to see at 10:00. All we did was stand in lines that didn’t move while most of the security posts were closed down. It seemed they just weren’t letting anyone else in. Is that typical for that time of night?

Victor Jones at Summerfest?

My girlfriend and I bought tickets to Summerfest today to see Victor Jones at 12:30. His name was on the marquee, and he was still listed on the lineup, but a completely different band played at 12:30. Does anyone know what happened? We made homemade shirts and got there early to make sure we didn’t miss anything, and were very confused when he didn’t play. Any insight?

F Ticketmaster

That's all I have to say. I guess the app is down. The people at the box office did their absolute best but for some people were unable to find their tickets. We made it in just in time for muse but there was a huge line behind us. What an absolute nightmare

Tonight's weather

Anyone know if the weather might cause a cancellation tonight? Im thinking of driving in from Chicago but honestly don't want to waste the effort if things are going to be shut down.

Anyone with experience got any advice?

Thank you!

Shuttles that Drop at South Gate?

Hi, I have a friend with mobility issues who will be using crutches to get in the South Gate and then rent a wheelchair there. Hoping someone knows of a shuttle that drops there to cut down on the distance on crutches before the transfer. Open to other ideas as well. Most options including rideshares seem to be at the North Gate where they don't have wheelchair rentals, and that's too far of a journey for them on crutches.

Are they going to allow us to bring in water?

Usually with heat like this, Summerfest allows people to bring in sealed water bottles. I haven’t seen any announcements from them yet on it.

Generac stage OK for a 9-year-old at night?

I'm thinking of taking my 9-year-old daughter to her first show this Friday. (Spoon — my all-time favorite, and a band she really likes). She's excited, but is the Generac Stage a good environment for a 9-year-old? I'm worried it might be too crowded and rowdy for her that late at night. Anyone ever been and have any advice? I'm also debating whether to get pit access. My first thought was that being close to the stage would be better, but now I'm wondering if the pit is actually a bad idea for a kid. Maybe I'm overthinking all this. Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

Alex Warren July 3rd

I’m considering going to the Alex Warren concert on July 3rd. He normally does confetti cannons throughout his concerts. With this venue being an amphitheater do we think he’s going to still do those or no?

What does the entrance of the AmFam Amphitheater look like? (& other amphitheater questions)

Hii, I’m mainly curious about this because I plan to get to the South Gate Entrance at 9am (July 2nd), then get straight to the entrance for the amphitheater at 12pm by speed-walking (since I heard you cannot run on the Summerfest grounds). I have pit tickets so I’m trying to get as close to the stage as possible.

I am also wondering if there are multiple entrances to the amphitheater for people with tickets/if it varies on what types of tickets I have?

Does anyone also know if it is easy to escape/re-enter the line to the amphitheater to go to the bathroom? I’ll be holding a spot in line with a friend.

Last thing: I plan on showing the ticket through my Apple Wallet (The tickets are from Ticketmaster, it says: “Hold Near Reader”). I’m assuming that works great but I want to be sure…

Thank you for reading this!

What time will Muse start playing July 2?

The ticket says the show starts at 7. Is that typically when headliners actually start playing or should I anticipate that one or more undisclosed openers will play first?

Generac stage upper deck?

Does the Generac stage have an upper deck (captains deck?) similar to how the Miller stage does? I'm talking about the kind where you need a wrist band or separate ticket to get in. If so, are these for sale?

Subtronics 6/25

I’m curious how the crowd/atmosphere was last night for Subtronics. They played a side stage, which is crazy considering they had 100k people for their Coachella set this year.

Summerfest needs to improve the drinks and quick

I was wondering why the lines at Lakefront Brewery were so insane and then I realized it’s one of the only places to get a decent beer. I realize Waterstreet Brewery closed, but they couldn’t do something else with that nice space?? Just basic Miller Lite or Coors in there? How lame. Why not make it a microbrew space?? Allow various local breweries to showcase their beers there.

That nasty Choco-cherry shit is so sweet. They had a chance with Vizzy, but continue to choose the absolute worst flavor combo year after year after year. I’m currently drinking an old fashioned and just rambling/venting, but the drink situation needs a serious overhaul. I volunteer as tribute to lead the charge if Summerfest is hiring.
