Roughly all the routes I have covered over the last three years in my Tata Nexon EV MR with real world highway range of ~220kms.

And they say, charging infra is lacking even when almost all modern EVs easily have ~2x more range and more importantly 4-6x higher DC charging speeds than my car.

I would have never attempted this in an ICE car because of cost and more importantly, driving fatigue. As someone who has done these really long trips as a solo driver, the charging stops are always a nice reset and on multi day trips, I have longed for even more charging stops sometimes out of sheer boredom.

I know so many people who have done even more extensive trips, although with higher range EVs. Do share your routes as well!

Tata Punch EV battery warranty

I received my car yesterday and was going through the battery warranty terms and conditions. I have a few doubts and would appreciate some clarification..

  1. "The vehicle shall not have more than 2 warnings related to EV charging pattern between two service intervals"

When exactly does this warning appear?

  1. 4 DC charges and 1 AC charge to 100%.

Is this mandatory? For example, if I go on a long trip, I may need to use DC fast charging 8 or more times. If I do that, could I receive a charging-pattern warning?

Would such a warning affect the battery warranty?

  1. "Must maintain an active & uninterrupted IRA.ev"

Does this mean I need to purchase/renew an IRA.ev subscription every year to keep the battery warranty valid?

If I don't use the app or the connected-car features, can the battery warranty still remain valid without an active subscription?
