Tribute/Memorial

This is from issue #1, if you've read it you know what this is. Do you think we will ever see this tribute sphere 100% full?

Who’s got the answers?

Saw in the history that this may be a rarer variant. Tried to find info but couldn’t.

I won’t complain, but it’s so funny.

So like everyone else here, I was super hyped up about Terminal’s release, but I decided to be a responsible adult with my preorders. 3 blind bags. No more. I’ll enjoy whatever I open.

So on release day, go to the comic book shop, pick up my 3 bags and stay out till late doing a bunch of errands.

Finally get home to open my books and what do I get? I open my first bag… Number 10. Super hyped, it’s my favorite cover in the batch. Preorder is already a success. Open the second one… Number 2. Cool, I’ll know whats going on a month in advance ( guess I can skip next month’s sub). Bag number 3… I get number 7. At this point my wife is hysterical. While I’m jumping around like a kid at Christmas I realize why she’s laughing. I can’t read number 1.

I decide to put everything away and that I’ll just pick up a number 1 after work the next day.

I decide to during my lunch break and pick up 3 more bags and open them during the afternoon. Another #7 and the 2 Liefeld variants.

I’m absolutely thrilled. This is the craziest pulls I’ve ever managed with any collectible, but I have the most buttery lobster problem of all time: I still don’t have a reader copy of #1.

So I went back to the shop a 3rd time and just bought a cover A from the shelf.

Hope everyone is having a blast with this release.

Long Series!!!

Not sure how many people saw this, but the editor put this little box at the end of the 1st issue. And he hints that this series in is it for the long run!

Things you might have missed from #1

It seems like Theed (the man who leads the "blue" team) has some kind of psychic connection with Maculox. He is able to see the result of Marylin's activation before opening the door.

The plan for the wraparound cover detailed at the back of the book actually reveals quite a lot. Each of the characters is indicated by their real names, not their codenames. The "leaders" of the red side are revealed to be Janus and Anita. Two characters are labelled as "New Girl", indicating that each side will recruit a new female member.

The floating monster is Kaspar, aka "Phantasam", and his ability is teleportation of others (and presumably himself).

Halle, aka "Thrasher", the baboon-like monster on the blue team is female. Based on the design alone, this was a surprise to me.

The one giving orders on the red team appears to be "Siren". She is the only one other than "Imp" who speaks during the Black Mesa raid, and it's to give orders.

"Imp" may have originally been recruited for his computer hacking ability, as he claims during the Black Mesa raid. This suggests that the members of the teams may be chosen by utility.

When Marylin meets the amateur hacker, he shows her an image taken in Pripyat, Ukraine, which shows a member of the "blue" team who is not shown anywhere else. This may be a member of the team who has already died in the month between the Pripyat incident and present.

Any other details you noticed that I didn't? Add them in the comments. Keep it to #1 though!

Terminal #1 Review(SPOILERS)

I'm curious now that we've had a day to read the 1st issue, what are your overall thoughts on this issue?

For me I loved it. Some context is that I have only read issue #1, I haven't seen or read anything from the advanced issues 2, 7, or 10.

But as for #1, oh boy. What a book, what a way to start this off. I was fully expecting for Marilyn to get her powers at the end of the book. I was already thinking of the possibly that there could be a schism between Marilyn and Crusher and Marilyn would eventually join the other side and fight her sister at some point. NOPE, nah she just dies, totally did not expect that. I loved it, I hope that there is a sense of permanence in this book where people who die stay dead, cause I feel there may be a way we see Marilyn again but I'd rather not tbh. I also kinda like the homage to the Invincible show(not sure if it really was), but at the very end when Minotaur says the title of the book I just pictured all the Invincible title card cut's in the show, idk a small thing that may be unrelated but I thought it was cool.

And the art... I mean it speaks for itself it's so good. I love this style of art, it's nice to see Andy Kubert do interiors again. I think the last thing I remember him doing interior for was New 52 Flashpoint and as I recall the art was the only good thing about that

Blind Bag Mania

Am I huffing paint? Have I gone mad?? Am I the problem???

Stay tuned to find out!

I’m pretty happy with my pulls here, despite not pulling an issue 2. Cover B and issue 7 were the most common, for me.

Two sides of the same coin

Was pretty stoked to get this virgin variant out of a blind bag. Then I saw the back…woooof! Still, a cool pull!

PSA: Please use spoiler tags!

Hey everyone, just a friendly reminder as this sub grows, not everyone is caught up on the issues so far as it can be a little confusing. If your post title contains a spoiler, please tag it as a spoiler. We love that people are excited to talk about what's happening, and this isn't about limiting discussion, it's just about giving fellow fans a heads-up so they can choose when to engage.

Thanks for helping keep this a great place for everyone, whether you're all caught up or a few episodes behind!

Bought one bag, got #7 (and then bought the die-cut variant)

I bought one blind bag, opened it at the shop before leaving and got this “ultra rare” #7. I’m really curious how the regular #7 will look when it comes out in 6mos. I assume it won’t have “ultra rare” printed on the cover.

My favorite cover of them all is this beautiful die-cut, to me it’s the real standout of all the covers, especially seeing it in person! (Well maybe not compared to the 1:2500 Kubert sketch, but other than that.)
