Tesla semi kills 2 near Nevada Gigafactory

A Tesla factory semi was involved in fatal wreck in Northern Nevada near the Gigafactory last Sunday. The collision occurred on June 28, 2026 at 07:15 AM in clear weather. The truck slammed into the back of 2 cars that were stopped for a red light at approximately 60 miles per hour, with no attempt to stop. Reports say that the driver may have fallen asleep. Recent reports also say that Tesla has been actively testing self-drive in the area, including FSD and supervised modes. Tesla has long touted the advanced safety technologies of their semis, so it seems difficult to believe that a sleeping driver wouldn't have received a wake-up alert or that auto braking wouldn't have made some attempt. My intent of this post is not to bash Tesla, and I'm not an expert on their technology, but I am a Commercial driver and I know new trucks have collision avoidance systems.

2026 Model Y Autosteer Misinformation by Tesla

I’ve ordered my Tesla on end of April and right after my order, I asked if it has Autosteer without FSD subscription to the Tesla assistant and it gave me very detailed answer as you can see on the picture.

So I was happy with my purchase and I actually got the delivery early since they had inventory, got the RWD Model Y Standard on May 10th, I’ve used the 1 month free FSD, I was planning to use Autosteer after it since THEIR OWN ASSISTANT SAID SO. But turns out Autosteer is not a feature in TACC anymore…

Of course I’ve called them and explained the situation, I also stated that I have a screenshot, customer service directed me to the store, and they said there is nothing they can do which I think not acceptable.

Selling a product with misinformation and saying “well, you shouldn’t have purchased it if that was what you want” is crazy.

I know AI assistants could be mistaken but they still need to be responsible of THEIR OWN AI’S MISTAKE.
Just like I would be responsible for crashing while using FSD.

What should I do? Is there any e-mail address that I can send this screenshot and request for Autosteer activation?

Tesla Model Y L Launching This Fall in North America

Anyone waiting to trade their vehicle in or purchase this one? I wonder what the price will be. Perhaps in between Premium Y and Performance.

White dust coming out of vents

I have had this 2026 model y juniper since October. Over time these white specs keep building up outside of the ac vents on each side of the car. Has anyone had this issue or know what’s causing it? This has been happening since the car was new.

Looking at a used Tesla.

I am looking to buy my first Tesla and looking at used ones. The ones in my area and price range have higher mileage. They have anywhere between 115,000 to 158,000 miles. I am just curious if I should be worried or if this mileage range should still be good buys. Thank you for your insights.
