Tesla patents safer wireless charging for future electric vehicles
teslamagz.comLet's make tesla go 0-100kph faster than a lucid without breaking the bank. A novel Idea.
The Tesla Model S Plaid does 0–60 mph in 1.99 seconds. The Lucid Air Sapphire does it in 1.89 seconds, both using extremely sophisticated multi-motor powertrains and traction-control systems.
But there may be another variable worth exploiting:
How much of the available motor torque can we actually put onto the road during the first few hundred milliseconds of a launch?
I've developed a concept that attempts to improve EV launch traction by actively manipulating suspension loading immediately before acceleration rather than adding more motor power. (It’s a novel method, not an existing launch control mechanism)
A preliminary quarter-car simulation produced some interesting results, including a 26.6% increase in transient vertical wheel loading and a reduction in simulated squat.
But this is only an initial model. It needs much more rigorous vehicle-dynamics, tire, powertrain and control-system analysis before we can say whether the idea actually works on a real vehicle.
This is where I want university students to get involved.
I'm looking for someone with grip in:
Mechanical Engineering • Automotive Engineering • Mechatronics • Electrical Engineering • Control Systems • Vehicle Dynamics • Simulation
The goal is simple:
Take the concept. Model it properly. Challenge the assumptions. Try to break it. And, if it survives, take it towards a patent.

I'm traveling from SF Bay to ohio via I-80..... FSD can't seem to park in a supercharger spot... 5 out of 7 times FSD parked me hundreds of feet away from SC...only twice did it back into a SC. Any thoughts??

teslamagz.comWhat Tesla?
Buying used was looking at and drove a 2024 performance. Is it that much different than the 2023? Or should I just get a model s 2020 or 21 I don’t know how drastic the differences are.
