Greenspoint Mall, Houston Texas

Abandoned mall in Greenspoint, Houston Texas. Opened in 1976 as an upscale premium shopping center, it declined through the late 1990s before closing in July 2024.

These photos were taken just over a month before its two-year anniversary of abandonment.

Abandoned store, bar and home in Texas

My daughter has long been fascinated with abandoned buildings and even looks up the history of them. I had planned to do some "urban exploring" on this road trip to sate her curiosity.(and hers has rubbed off on me, now I am curious too!) We saw it as we zipped by and turned around. Then found the doors wide open tho heavily over grown. It was heavily deteriorated and the roof falling down. We saw an abandoned house next door, probably the owners home. We researched that it had closed down in 2013. Seems like alot of decay in just 13 years. It was pretty creepy and cool! I included pics a few more abandoned places we saw and stopped to take pics but none were open to explore like this one.

Abandoned Goat House 🐐🏡

Apparently the owner passed away and this property was left vacant and forgotten until new owners recently bought it and started fixing the place up. Used to be goats on the property but couldn’t get close enough to them for a good picture, the goats have been relocated and are no longer on the property.
