Why is Suvarnabhumi airport pronounced soo-waan-aa-poom and not Suv- area- bhumi like it is spelled?

Why is Suvarnabhumi airport pronounced soo-waan-aa-poom and not Suv- area- bhumi like it is spelled?

Why did they make the U, R, B, H, U, and I all silent? Why not just spell the airport name as soowaanaapoom instead?

Are they stupid?

Edit: auto correct in title to area when I mean Arna.

Help

I’m fairly new to learning Thai and I would just like someone to explain to me why หส่อมาก is spelt like that but not said using ANY of those character sounds considering to my understanding ห makes a H sound as in ห หีบ and ส makes a S sound as in ส เสือ. And where is the A sound coming from?! Please help this self learner

Need feedback for my Thai reading app.

Hi everyone. I started developing a language learning app when I was living in Bangkok 3 years ago. I finally finished it and now I need users to give me some feedback on their experience.

Basically, you can generate your own reading material (from AI) based on your interests. The text is then incorporated with learning-with-text. Click a word, hear the pronunciation, see a translation or word insight or picture (there's a lot of features).

Word segmentation was the trickiest part and one of the challenges that took me a long time from having Thai available (other languages were much easier so I pushed them sooner).

I took a lot of time going back and forth with the UI/UX, making sure it was best fitted for accessibility and learning with the colour schemes and formatting.

See it for yourself (landing page):

https://libgrafy.com

You can generate 3 articles per day for free (enter email first to make an account). With API costs for each article and audio, I can't go beyond those 3 articles, so I hope this is still in accordance with forum rules.

Any input from you will be valued. Literally anything. This has been an obsession of mine for a long time and I want to improve it as much as I can.

Thanks.
