Antman and Wasp (Avengers #22, 1999)

A lot of people have selective memory when it comes to this iconic duo and how they stayed together after some of the worst times. This arc did a great job diving into Hank's feelings and Jan's ownership of her part in relationship issues.

What if the Ana de Armas as Janet van Dyne in Avengers Doomsday rumor is true?

I read the rumor Ana de Armas may appear as a Janet van Dyne variant in Avengers Doomsday here: https://www.superherohype.com/news/652003-avengers-doomsday-recast-beloved-ant-man-actor-report

I'm in the camp of I'll believe when I see it, rumors and fan casts for Ana de Armas as different characters in the MCU have been going on for a while now.

but what do you think of this turned out to be true? Would you want a one-off variant or do you think she has the potential to carry Janet van Dyne throughout the next few phases of the MCU?

I was pondering this and I debated between two ideas. One was pretty obvious give her the power to summon wasp hordes like Hank can Ants. Granted Ants are more accessible.

The other idea I had was a nanotech stinger-like sword. Something beyond a regular blade that can impale, slice through tough surfaces, and perhaps transmit some kind of powerful energy upon impact.
