Hey, I’m posting a demo here because I feel like people on this sub might understand the sound I’m going for better than bigger music production subreddits. This really isn’t self-promo I’m just looking for honest feedback from people with similar taste.

I’ve been feeling pretty frustrated with this track. When I first made it, I thought it felt amazing really exciting and kind of electrifying and I was super inspired by it. But now the more I listen to it, the more I feel like something is off, and I can’t fully tell what.

My biggest fear is that it sounds too much like that very specific “2021 indie dream pop” thing in a bad, dated way. Like it feels too tied to a moment instead of timeless. At first I genuinely loved it, but now I’m second-guessing everything.

I recently added a second bassline, and there are still a lot of things that need work vocal levels, mixing, arrangement, etc. so I know it’s far from finished.

I’d really love to know: what do you think the actual issue is? Does something feel off to you? Would you personally listen to something like this?

Any honest feedback would really mean a lot.

hello, hopefully this is relevant and appropriate to post here but I’m not sure if others have had this problem or not? I believe back in January, the Hellp released a limited edition CD & Vinyl for Riviera that was pre-order along with some other merch. My friend who also likes them got a hat that did eventually ship out and get to us but when I pre-ordered the CD (which I believe was supposed to ship in March), I never got anything other than a confirmation email from Shop. When I click to view my order, the page isn’t even available anymore. Because it wasn’t supposed to ship for a while, I unfortunately completely forgot about it until now and replied to my confirmation email hoping to get help but did anyone else have this issue? I feel like I always have issues purchasing through Shop, I absolutely hate it :(
