Oskar Stålberg (the creator of townscaper) has stated he will not add any new features or updates to the game. However I believe if we - the townscaper - community can consistently email him at oak.sta@gmail.com asking for more updates we could make change. I’m not thinking something major I’m thinking more small features every now and then like perhaps a new species of bird or a new building design maybe even like placement of blocks makes new objects (apart from like bushes , boots , staircases and whatnot) even maybe like cats prowling on roof tops or streets.
