Your fanfic is 300,000 words long. Do you remember what color Harry’s wand was in Chapter 12?

Every fanfic author knows this moment:
You start writing Chapter 47.
Then you realize:
- You forgot your OC’s birthday.
- You can’t remember when two characters first met.
- Your timeline contradicts Chapter 8.
- You have 37 Google Docs, 12 notes, and one mysterious text file called “LORE_FINAL_v7_REAL.docx”.
That’s why You should consider using The World Architect.
Instead of treating your story like a document, it treats it like a world.
Keep track of:
✓ Characters and relationships
✓ Locations and lore
✓ Timelines and events
✓ Magic systems and factions
✓ Canon facts and headcanon additions
✓ Creation of interactive maps
Whether you’re writing a 20k one-shot or a 1-million-word epic that rewrites an entire universe, everything stays connected and searchable.
Less time hunting through notes.
More time writing.

Portraying a genderfluid character in a TTRPG (as a cis male)

Hello everyone!

(I hope posts like this are allowed here, otherwise feel free to delete)

I'm running a small TTRPG blog, where I mostly post my solo plays.

For the next game I'm planning to play and post, I was thinking about playing a genderfluid character, to learn a bit about that in a kind of playful environment. The current idea was playing them as masc/fem identifying (so bi-gender genderfluid if I have my terminology correct?) with slightly changing mannerisms and characteristics/personalities as well as name and pronouns (he/him or she/her, depending on how they identify at the moment). I'm not going to concern myself with what their birth gender was, so my brain isn't going to start defaulting to that.

The game takes place in a slightly idealized and more LGBTQ friendly version of our early 2000s, so relatively close to real life, only less .... annoying.

Now, since I'm an older cis hetero male, I'm not sure if what I have written would be an accurate portrayal, let alone respectful enough. Are there any obvious traps I should be aware of? Any tips what I should keep in mind?

[LF Players] [Asynchronous Play by Post][DnD 5e][roleplay only][18+ only]

Howdy! My name is Rocky and I am going to run my first play by post
mini-campaign. I’m a late 30s non-binary trans masc with 3 cats & two dogs that loves Dnd.
This is a role-play only mini-campaign and the version technically doesn’t matter but I play 5e and that’s where I’ll be pulling the lore from.

The basic idea is that your character has died and is waiting in the Fugue Plane to see if you get picked up by a god for your afterlife. Each character will tell tales about themselves and their lives that they think best show why their deity should accept them into their domain.

The player characters are each resting near a wall and have been waiting 3 days so far. You only have 10 days for your soul to be claimed. Some recent bricks in the City of Judgement suggest that you tell tales of your deeds to try to avoid their own fate.

The gamifying comes in with the voting system. Each player will give me up to 3 deities their character would be happy to go with. If one is preferred that’s okay too. I will aggregate the info about the deities like (most recent) pantheon, alignment, etc and each week the players will privately vote for which traits their stories most exemplified. I’ll take that information and fold into the npc feedback from the “bricks”.

The mini-campaign will be hosted in my discord and set up as a forum. The stories will be told in rounds. Each round will begin on (most likely) Monday and players will have until Friday to post their story. Then Friday night & Saturday will be voting. I’ll make my npcs posts and we’ll begin the next round. I may or may not have a strict schedule. It’s most important to role-play afterall. But the general idea will stay the same. Multiple days to post and read.

I haven’t done this before but I am really interested in the idea. If you really like writing (don’t worry there will be a loose word limit) or want to explore a favorite character this just might be for you!
Even though it’s play by post I don’t want to get lost in all the characters so I’m probably looking for 2 - 4 more players depending on which of my friends decide to join in.
I am currently thinking something like 4 - 6 rounds? We’ll see once we get everyone together and finalize the details.

I think my one sort of caveat? Content warning? Would be that this isn’t just a writing exercise. I will have npcs responding to the stories, other characters will respond, etc. This is gonna be a fun way to explore a character but please be aware of how personal or treasured your character is. If someone’s character responding dismissively or sarcastically to your character would be upsetting they are probably not the one to bring to this campaign. I respect that some characters' stories are really personal and I’d hate for anyone’s fun to be ruined because they felt disrespected instead of being able to enjoy the role-play and banter.

The mini-campaign will be entirely in my discord except for the voting will probably be a google poll for anonymous voting. I want to spend the next week or so finalizing who’s participating and what the guidelines will be. (like word count, how long people have to post, etc)
Everyone will fill out a lines and veils form and each post will be required to have content warnings.

If you're interested please fill out this form
