I built a "Shotguns" mode for GunGuesser (like geoguesser but for guns).

I built GunGuesser, basically GeoGuessr but for guns. More importantly, I made a dedicated Shotguns game mode for communities like this to enjoy.

You get shown a Shotgun, and are tasked with pinning where it originated, the closer and faster, the higher your score.

the site is called: GunGuesser.com

Please let me know what shotguns to add, the pool should be larger!

Trap Shooting Guns.

Hey everyone, first post to reddit.
Ive been trap shooting for around a year and a half, and my Winchester SXP began having a ton of issues, so I've just decided to gift it to my dad for hunting.
What do you recommend for guns that can survive several thousand rounds? I'm looking at a Legacy Sports International Pointer Sport Tek Trap 12 gauge and all I've seen is good reviews. Just wanted to post and see what you guys thought.
Thanks.
UPDATE: I am NOT buying a BT99. Don't get me wrong, they sound like an excellent gun. But, the cheapest I could find online was 1200 and its extremely old. I get that the older models are the better ones but I think its unreasonable to buy a 50 year old gun, used by atleast 1-2 other people, and has been used several thousand times. I'd rather just buy a new one and deal with it than having to repair a gun that is no longer in production, atleast of that model.

Selfmade shell magazine

So I recently got my hunting license in Germany and made trapshooting my new passion.
Another passion of mine is designing things for 3D printing in CAD. What came out are these magazines to carry the shells with me when doing a round of trap. Each magazine holds 14 12/76 shells (also 12/70, 12/67.5 …) so that I‘m almost covered for a game of 15 targets.
They are printed from highly durable PETG and require no glueing, screws or any other extra material.

Of course there are already solutions like conventional shooting vests or bags, but I just wanted to see how the idea turns out… and it turned out, that I like using these. The shells are packed nice an tidy without too much rattling and grabbing them feels natural and snappy.

I made this post to share my idea and to maybe get some feedback on this since I thought about selling these one day.
Do you use something similar or is staying classy the way to go?

Thanks for reading!

I normally go to my local club Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. But my father wants to shoot alone with me so i got a thrower to go whenever we want to. Seems pretty decent for 100$. YES I KNOW THE SPRING IS OFF. I did it so that when it is at home and stored it isnt always wound up.

Hunting and trap shooting

My kids 13 and 10 want to start upland hunting. Im in Oregon if that matters. Looking at an all around o/u 20g that we can use for hunting and trap shooting at our local range. Had been looking at a CZ upland ultralight which would be great for hunting but not sure how fun such a light gun would do for trap. Any suggestions for an all around gun would be much appreciated.

Gun fit is everything

I know this topic has been beaten to death, and the vets here know this very well, but for all new people here, I am going to share probably the most valuable piece of advice you’ll get as a beginner. GUN FIT IS EVERYTHING in shotgun sports.

This here is my 1959 year browning superposed. It cost me less than $1000 CAD. This gun fits me like a glove and is the most comfortable gun I’ve ever shot. There is nothing special about it (other than it being the final love child of JMB himself) but it doesn’t have a broadway or raised rib, it doesn’t have a Monte Carlo stock, it doesn’t have anything special going on to make it a “better trap gun”. It’s just a field or maybe “sporting” grade shotgun that has 30” barrels and a full choke up top.

Over the years, I’ve spent thousands of dollars on different guns and I have never felt anything that just fits you and you know it’s the one. I’ve shot fine with some and terribly with others. Once I picked this gun up I knew I would be able to shoot well with it, and this for me was the key to a consistent 25. It’s a gun that just fits me and gives me confidence. I can mount it the way I want and see around it just fine. I’ve never felt better and never shot better.

Moral of the story, find a gun that fits. I 100% recommend trying different guns until you find something that just fits. It may not be what you think. An old super like this will fit some and not others. I personally don’t like citoris at all, yet they are just the new version of this gun.

For all you know the cheap old beater will be the key to your success in trap shooting or any style of shooting. Just find the gun that fits. Unless you’re shooting professionally and have money to burn, custom gun fitting can get real expensive, but there are so many guns out there with different fits just waiting to find their mate

Rx Shooting Glasses

I'll start out by saying I have just shot with my normal prescription glasses for a long time, but I am interested in trying some tinted shooting glasses but I have some questions.

What color is the best for trap/skeet/sporting clays under most conditions?

If you could only buy one color lens to start what color would you buy? I mainly shoot trap these days.

I'm looking at Ranger for the frames/lenses

ATA in Florida

Looking to possibly switch to shooting Trap in ATA instead of other disciplines. How big is the ATA scene in Florida cause idk if it’s just the time of year or something but I can hardly find like…literally anything.

Figure some old heads might appreciate this Marlin 55 Goose Gun

For those who don’t know. It’s an old 36” barreled extra full bolt action shotgun. Tried it at the 27 line and wasted 22 of my 25 shells on nothing for science!

Sure made for some good laughs though
