Off Campus Housing

Does anyone have off campus housing recommendations? My budget is no more than $1300 a month. I'd prefer to be only a couple miles away from main campus so it's walkable and I'm cool with roommates.

Need summer housing

Lmao this is my first Reddit post ever. I currently have been staying at a friend’s house after spring semester ended and have just started looking for somewhere to be JUST FOR THE SUMMER (I’m in summer semester). So probably sub lease of some sort. I got info on some facebook groups already I just wanted to get myself out there in case anybody is looking for someone to either have as a roommate or takeover a single. I’m a sophomore, mechanical engineering major and since this is only for the summer it has to be PRE-FURNISHED. My budget cap is like 800 cause I know things are rough right now.

Tivoli or The Pointe?

I have possibly a few hours to decide this…

If I go to the Pointe:

• I get almost certainly put with random roommates. Big test of my luck and tolerance there. I did it once already and survived but my god it was the source of some pet peeves and idk if I should roll the dice twice

• Individual lease with inclusive utilities—less expensive and much better legally for peace of mind. especially with strangers for roommates?

• Also includes furniture, no worrying about moving a king size bed up the stairs

• BUT—I have no idea if I’ll be able to know anything about like what roommates I’d be with or what floor I’d be on before I sign the lease. Anyone know how it works?

If I go to Tivoli:

• Seemingly bigger, newer, nicer vibe in general

• No waitlist and I’m put with roommates I at least briefly know in SOME way and not total randoms

• Quieter, less of a party scene apparently? But also not student exclusive

• No furniture, utilities are already always extra, and the joint agreement lease is making me nervous. Big drawbacks there

Please if you’ve been to either of these share your experiences. Rather than what I want, let me just say what I really do NOT want in a dorm:

• BUGS. No roaches, ants, etc. hoping for a higher floor anyway. The less bug prone the building the better though.

• In general, messy roommates. I’m not saying it has to be spotless but never let your room’s hygiene start affecting the rest of the dorm and guys please respect the common spaces

• Crime. I mean duh, but I’m already paranoid so even if it’s just for peace of mind, the less suspicious and arson/shooting/drug prone a complex is the better. I don’t wanna see my new home in the headlines

• Management is probably always gonna suck but hopefully not too bad. Lately my biggest annoyance with my current dorm is how often I’ve been woken up without warning by the fire alarm

Encourage me if you think one of these is a good fit, or better yet give me your words of warning if you come from these places. I need some deciding factors I don’t have a lot of good info right now

Sublease Offer 2 x 2 for $1100

Hi I just recently signed my renewal at Arden Villas for a 2 x 2 for $1100 dollars without the guarantor fee. (With Guarantor fee it’s 50 bucks more but you don’t gotta worry about that if you have a guarantor) The room is nearly the size of a studio and the living room is super spacious. It’s on the first floor and has a shuttle to UCF for your convenience during the semester. I’m looking for a sublease for that renewal (August 2026 - July 2027). I’m trying to see if I can move out to a unit with my friends at a different complex for my final year. If you are interested and have questions about the unit. Please let me know!

Knights Circle Waitlist

Are people actual coming off the waitlist? I’m trying to get someone to take over my lease for Aug 2026 - July 2027 and signed a “release agreement” to try and have Knights Circle help me by finding people through the waitlist. But there is like 2 1/2 months left and feel kinda of at a lost.

Dorm/housing move out

Hi Everyone!

I work with young people who have foster care or homelessness experiences. I hope I'm not too late asking if anyone has gently used items like vacuums, kitchen items/appliancs, T.V, etc.

OR

Even items like toilet paper, paper towels, or other cleaning supplies you know you aren't going to use.

I would give these items to the yourh I work woth or who will be moving into the summer or fall dorms. This would be a great help!

Side note: I lived on the college campus of Florida Gulf Coast University and many students throw away so many items. During my last semester the large trash bins outside got full and someone places a new amount of paper towels (only 2-3 were removed from the package) and I saved it from the landfill and give a toaster to a foster kid moving into the dorm.

Neptune community

I am a freshman and will be starting at UCF in the fall studying engineering. As I am thinking about housing option I wanted to check on the Neptune community. Any feedback. What’s the good, bad and ugly. Any recommendations on buildings, floors or even rooms I should think about? How’s that community compared to Hercules/Nike or Lake Claire. Any and all info is appreciated. I am coming from CA so it’s not easy for me to visit before room selection day.

Looking for a roommate for Fall 2026 (2x2 near UCF)

Hey everyone! Junior Computer Engineering student here, transferring to UCF from Valencia College. Originally from Venezuela, moved to the US at 18. Looking for a roommate for a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom apartment starting August 2026.

About me:
I am fully locked in academically. CE degree at UCF, Burnett Honors College, and a cybersecurity internship at Siemens Energy this summer. Grades come first, and I keep a productive schedule. That said, I do enjoy going out to celebrate, occasional gatherings with friends, and having a good time when the moment calls for it. Visitors are occasional: my girlfriend and a small group of friends every so often.

Hobbies: building tech projects, anime, video games, working out, soccer, ping pong, tennis, music, and movies. I occasionally drink but I do not smoke. Vaping does not bother me.

Looking for:
Preferably a male STEM major, ideally someone with a Latin or Venezuelan background or a Spanish speaker since shared culture and language makes coexistence a lot easier day to day. Someone who takes school seriously but also knows how to enjoy life. Clean, respectful of space, and able to communicate when something comes up.

Apartments I am currently touring (all 2x2):
- The Verge Orlando ($1,064/mo after specials)
- Lark Central Florida ($999/mo)
- Arden Villas ($970-1,015/mo)
- The Pointe at Central ($960/mo, waitlisted)

Drop a comment or DM me if this sounds like a match. Reach out with your major, year, and a little about your living style. Looking forward to connecting!

Graduate Apartments

Thinking about coming for my PhD in August, what are some good places to stay as a grad student? I want something furnished atleast the first 2 years, but most of the time the furnished apartments give dorm & are kind of shitty. Any recommendations? I would preferably not like to be somewhere with straight teenagers.

Room available in 4bd house starting June 1st. $800

Hey everyone, I’m a senior Engineering major looking for a new roommate to take one of the rooms at the house we are at. Currently we have a 4bd house with just 3 of us, the 4th room has been made into a engineering workshop. My roommate is moving out this month so the room will be available to move in by June 1st. $800 rent with utilities, except for electricity which varies between $75-$200 depending on how hot it gets outside. Everything else in the house beside the room will be furnished. Well kept home. Has a garage, and backyard. Located 15-20 minutes from campus.

The room that will be available is the top room in the red circle on the picture.

I have 1 cat who’s basically a dog she loves having people around. If you have allergies she may present some issues but depends on your severity.

Give me a dm if you have questions or you are interested. I need to find someone within the next couple of weeks preferably.
