BS Human Eco Job Opportunities

Hi! Ask ko lang po sa mga BS Human Ecology graduates or students ng UPLB: Madali po ba makahanap ng trabaho if graduate po under this degree program? and ano po yung mga common or promising jobs sa private/corporate sector?

I’m interested in the course, kaso most po ng nakikita ko po na answer is government employee. I’m not really interested in working sa kahit anong gov agency after graduating po sana eh hehe 😅

LF a Runner-Person to help with Clearance!

Hello! I was a CAFS student here in UPLB but currently transferring out to pursue a different path entirely. CAFS-OCS has released my college clearance just a few days ago however I do not have the capability to work my clearance. I am not living or even in near vicinity of the school (I live in Tarlac City currently). And due to conflicting schedule, I will not be able to dedicate a few days in order to stay in Los Baños. Further, there are no guarantees for the people in the signatories. I do have a friend who is currently in UPLB as a CAS student, but he is currently working on their thesis and finals. He barely has anytime to entertain my trouble, sadly. (At most, I only get to talk to him for a few minutes a week-not being sarcastic lol).

For more details please send me a DM here, so I can better explain to you my situation as well as validity of my story (I will provide proof and answer questions if needed).

So what am I getting at? I need a runner-person, who is living in or near UPLB, and has ample time to their schedule to let the signatory people sign my clearance hopefully within the week. There will be compensation as I will be needing time, effort, and possibly transpo fee for this. We can talk more in the DM if interested. Please help me out!

[UPLB] Incoming 2nd year transferring from UPV BS Econ, study plan questions

Hi! I’m planning to transfer campuses from UPV to UPLB while staying in the same course, BS Economics. I’m an incoming second-year student, but I’ve been having some doubts regarding the process and my study plan if ever I get accepted. I’m wondering if I would end up being overloaded or underloaded during second year. Since I know my subjects may not perfectly match the prescribed curriculum and I’ll most likely become an irregular student, I’m curious about how my study plan would work in that situation...

Will I be delayed because of the transfer, or is there still a possibility for me to catch up with my future classmates in elbi and eventually return to a regular standing? I’d really appreciate any insights or advice regarding this. Thank you! 🥹

Worth it ba pumunta lumban para bumili/pagawa ng barong? From UPLB.

Galing ako uplb to Lumban. Or uplb to divisoria na lang?

Budget ko sana is around 4 - 5k. Naisip ko rin mag kultura kaso mas pricy daw.

Thanks! Magkalapit lapit lang ba stores doon?

BS Nutrition in UPLB

Is BS Nutrition in University of the Philippines Los Baños really hard? I’d like to know more about the actual experience of students currently taking the course, especially when it comes to the chemistry subjects involved.

A lot of people I’ve talked to keep saying na sobrang hirap daw talaga ng chem sa Nutrition, and honestly it’s making me nervous about choosing it as my course in UPLB. I’m genuinely interested in the program, but I just want a realistic background on what to expect, the workload, subjects, struggles, and overall student experience.

One of the reasons why I’m considering BS Nutrition is because I’m planning to take Culinary Science in UPLB later on, since my real goal is to study culinary and hopefully pursue a career related to it in the future.

Qualifier's Appeal

Hi! I passed UPLB BSFST (my second choice campus - first prog) and I plan to submit an appeal para makalipat sa UPM Nursing (prio campus and prog.) May chance po ba na makapasok ako or wala na talaga since hindi ko s'ya naipasa in the first place?

Just got in UPLB BS Accountancy, what should i expect?

Hello! I just passed uplb bs accountancy which happens to be my first campus and course choice rin (since 5 years almost ang BSBAA sa upd) and I am very grateful for it.

Since the program is fairly new, I would like to ask how is it like in BSAcc. Particularly (1) the environment, (2) the profs, and the (3) workload itself. Lowk kinakabahan rin talaga kasi ako, since I haven't seen many ppl online na nakapasa. Your insights would be very helpful!

[UPLB] thoughts on bscs & bsme

Not sure if it’s okay to ask here, pero may nag reco na baka raw the people of reddit might help me better kskaksdkse.

Hello po, incoming freshie here. Just wanna ask lang po ab ur thoughts on the bs compsci and bs mech eng progs ng uplb?
Passed bscs kasi sa elbi and aerospace engineering sa batsu-lima campus–both are my prio progs and campus for both unis nung nagaapply ako.
Pero upon recent contemplations at self reflection, I realized na im more inclined towards engineering, though I think i’ll be okay naman should i pursue bscs–di ko naman kasi sya hate, hehe. prio ko nga sya dati.

I'm planning to let go of batsu na rin kasi natatakot akong ipursue ang lima campus (we’ll be the pioneer batch of that newly established campus kasi if ever).
I’ll try to QA sana to mech eng sa uplb if available pa sa diwa portal, though im unsure pa.
Thoughts nyo po sana? huhuhu.

Tsaka between the two, alin po kaya sa tingin nyo ang mas future-proof? i.e. hindi sobrang hirap makahanap ng career opportunities, not so affected by ai risk, etc. Respect my post po sana:( struggling to choose lang po talaga.
