I'm going to join VSSUT this year that after hearing the news of the protest i want to know did the VC agreed to fullfill the demands and what are the changes that are going to be made now and what about the 4 students in a single hostel room policy as i will be staying in the hostel and this 4 people in a single room policy made stressing me out as i'm planning to perpare for GATE and this thing will definitely going to affect my prep and also it will also ruin our privacy

Regarding the ongoing situation in college of protest and all , uniform banwana hai ya nahi??

So the thing is should i wait for R3 to get into VSSUT or should i freeze the option.

Everyone in my family is saying that Mechanical is a better option than Chemical.

I got biomedical engineering in vssut in 2nd round of ojee counselling. I'm not sure if I'll get better branches in upcoming rounds, but if I finally get this branch, is it worth studying?

i got etc in first round and upgraded to cse with aiml in 2nd. The query is i got a seat confirmation letter in first round but not in second. Should i wait for round 3 to be completed for the final confirmation letter (froze my seat in 2nd round btw)

Hii juniors , saw the protest and want to make some things clear. might sound little technical but i've tried to simplify .

Your Argument is 100% right but you all need to have a sound backing of your argument with sound reasoning to boost your protest otherwise the authority will easily fizzle out this protest with legitimate tactics.

1. Let me give you a quick background - As per the ARTICLE 12 of the constitution , state universities can be called "State" , so all the fundamental rights in the constitution are meant to be used against the "state" as it guarantees state cannot violate your fundamental right.

2. imposition of uniform by the university is a violation of ARTICLE 19 -Freedom of expression as you all have the right to express yourself as your wants.
   Now comes the twist , The university wants to establish "equality" by introducing uniforms which violates ART 14 Right to equality too, as to enforce it there are few doctrines to check the validity of any imposed rules , it should pass the test of Reasonable classification . Further it must fulfill 2 important conditions of it - Intelligible nexus and Rational nexus .
   Both the conditions cannot be fulfilled as there is no Rationality behind taking this step , the authority cannot prove that they can provide economic and social equality to the poor students by imposing uniforms , also as per intelligible nexus doctrine -The classification must be based on a clear, real, and logical distinction that sets the grouped individuals or things apart from others, otherwise it will be void .
   and it is so arbitrary that they didn't conduct any mass survey before making this decision , this is absolutely arbitrary and violates your fundamental rights (so actually you can win a court case by a writ petition with all these reasons).

so for above reasons their decision is fundamentally violating your fundamental rights .

Further imposing this "Blue regime" only make things worse , suppose a economically disadvantaged student ,he/she needs to arrange more than 1k rupees to buy new clothes which just increases financial burden on his/her family and 1k is a huge amount for many.
2ndly VC said that it would be easier to recognise our students near dams,markets ?! I mean seriously ? he thinks everyone roams around with blue uniforms ?? VSSUT students are not school students for god sake , 99% roam in civil dresses .
VC is a freaking Idealist who wants to impose his idealism on you , he needs to be a bit pragmatic.

I need some quick advice regarding B.Tech admission at VSSUT Burla (or other state colleges in Odisha). I am from the ST category and have a JEE Main percentile. Currently, I have RT in Chemistry and a compartment in Mathematics in my CBSE Class 12. I am appearing for my Math compartment exam on July 28th and I am confident I will clear it. However, my Chemistry RT might remain as it is for now. I also have Information Technology (IT) as an additional subject.

My question is: If I clear my Math exam and use IT in place of Chemistry, will I be eligible for B.Tech admission at VSSUT Burla during Spot Counseling or Vacant Seat rounds? Do state colleges accept IT as a technical vocational subject for eligibility if Chemistry has an RT? Any guidance from seniors or VSSUT students would be really helpful!

I need some guidance regarding B.Tech admissions at VSSUT Burla (or other Odisha state colleges)

Board: CBSE Class 12 (Compartment in Math and RT in Chemistry; exam on July 28, 2026).

Additional Subject: I also have Information Technology (IT).

Concern: OJEE/College counseling usually wraps up by early August, but my compartment results will come out around mid-August.

Questions:

Does VSSUT Burla conduct Spot Counseling / Vacant Seat Rounds in late August/September where compartment-cleared students are eligible?

Can IT be counted for eligibility if I clear my compartment exams?

Is there any provision for provisional admission?

If any senior or VSSUT student knows how spot rounds work for compartment cases, please advise!

I got a seat in etc branch in this college and wants to know the orientation date of this college,I know that the reporting dates are b/w aug 3-7 but I have also registered for IIIT BBSR(my preferred clg) but most probably I will get at last and spot rounds as I have a chance to get etc at there!!!

The Round 4 of this councelling is on 25 july and round 6 on aug 14 and spot rounds can also happen so I am thinking to do the reporting in vssut burla and if there will be a gap of 7-15 days of orientation then most probably I will come my home in Ganjam!!!

If someone also knows the past year orientation date and official orientation date for this year then also plz msg here!!

So the thing is ki I got a college alloted in round 1.. and wo mujhe chahiye nhi tha so i floated.. but seat acceptance pay Krna tha nhi pata tha... Toh nhi kiya... R2 me basically kuch allot nhi hua so like mene dekha and fir pata chala ki my seat is cancelled.

Abhi mujhe kya ojee office Jana pdega and application wagera dena pdega ya I can re-register in 2nd ojee counselling through my jee mains rank??

I heard from my father that his friend's son was also studying in vssut in the EE branch and he was not allowed to sit in campus placement as he was a second dropper. So is it true that second droppers face problems in placements in college campuses???

I got a seat in 1st round and I uploaded all the documents and in 2nd round do I need to reverification or give some kind of permission or re-upload documents again

I got IGIT MECH in R2(GEN-EWS MALE 466190). In R1 i got PMEC MECH and that was my 18th preference and this time i got the 9th one. I got IGIT EE in 8th and then all the branches of VSSUT with Biomed on 7th. So can anyone tell me how good are my chances of getting into VSSUT this time? Also i got MME on 3rd and Chem on 4th. Seniors Please help

I have CRL 2.45L and have SEBC (home state quota also) I got OUTR Civil in Round 2 but I really want mechanical in either VSSUT or OUTR. Ik VSSUT would b better so what r my chances in round 3. Will i get mechanical I really want it. If not then what can I do
