Hey Pack! We have some things to share and we wanted to do it properly.

First, the numbers. We went from under 20 members to over 2,000 in a week. We are sitting close to 100,000 views on this sub in five days. Five days. For context we thought hitting 300 visitors in a day was a record before all of this happened. You showed up and you showed up hard and we are genuinely so proud of the community that held it together while everything got progressively more locked down and chaotic around us. Thank you for that. Seriously.

What's new:

The wiki has been updated and it's worth a read even if you've been here since the beginning. We added and refined a lot including the full breakdown of what belongs here, a clearer section on what will get you temporarily or permanently removed from the Pack, and a new rule, "Keep It Koko and Keep It English", which covers off-topic posts, doom spiraling, exit announcements, hashtag-only posts, duplicate posts, and our translation policy for non-English content. If you haven't read the rules and the flair guide yet, now is the time. It genuinely makes our jobs harder when posts come in that don't follow them and right now we are already stretched thin. Help us help you.

On flairs:

We are releasing the Questions and Discussion flairs. We have been holding them back while the tourist wave was at its worst and we feel like the automod is strong enough now to handle it. Use them correctly. The flair guide is in the wiki and it is not long. Please read it.

On the queue:

New Pack members we see you and we are manually approving posts until you hit the karma threshold. Hang tight, you are not forgotten. We still have too many spam and tourist posts coming through for things to feel fully normal but we are getting there.

Which brings us to the most important thing we will say in this post: REPORT. USE THE REPORT BUTTON. Downvoting does nothing. Reporting gets it to us. If something feels off, if a post is spam, if someone is clearly not here for Koko, report it and let us handle it. You are our first line of defense and we need you.

P.S. We are still seeing posts that belong in r/ValkoHQ or r/ValkoWidows land here instead. We get it, every community handles things differently and we know not everyone has had a chance to read the rules yet. We consider those posts misguided good faith and we redirect them with love. But not reading the rules does not protect you from the consequences of breaking them. That is true everywhere and it is true here. You are here because this community is different from the others. That is exactly why the rules exist and why we ask you to respect them. r/ValkoHQ is where the fight lives. r/ValkoWidows is where the grief lives. r/ValkoMains is where Koko lives. Come here for him.💛

The video is perfect, so heartwarming and so funny. We as mods are 100% using this as a response with no follow up explanation to the people whose only contributions here are #BRINGBACKVALKO etc. cause like tourist ahem.... Infold can't read this and hashtags on reddit are as useless watering a pet rock.

Cocoa beans have you seen similar videos or image memes the mod can share to tourists and people who have lost the plot? They don't read what we write so why not full awooooo am I right? They can be snarky, cute, thoughtful, hortina (horny), we will take em all and use them like we're battling pokemon. I choose you Hortinachoo! ⚔️

I don’t know where this is, but it’s so wholesome. I’m incredibly proud of this community, girlies are really pouring their hearts to bring our wolfie back. ❤️

Never made something so fast in my life, but I did it and during a July 4th celebration too🤭 Grandma also decided to make one with me, she says “the wolf boy is handsome, Grandma likes.”😂 SO OBVIOUSLY, HE HAS TO COME BACK! For Grandma obviously… not for anybody else…😗

I hope this post encourages others to make this cute lily of the valley charm for Valko. Not only is it his symbolic flower, but it’s also very easy to make and is something simple to continue spreading the message.

Stay strong my fellow hunters, we’re on day 5 and we still have a very good chance of bringing back our lost wolfie💕 Never give up, just like our fearless MC and LIs!

I did a little analysis on Valko’s quote from the trailer:

“What’s so bad about wolves being at the door? One peek is enough for him to open the doors for you.”

The obvious reading is:
The wolf is outside your door.
If you peek, he’ll come in.
= The danger is to you.

But, my reading and interpretation flips the perspective:
The wolf is inside his own house.
You only have to appear once.
He’ll open his own door to you.
= The danger is to him.

That’s a really elegant reversal in my opinion!!

The question, “What’s so bad about wolves being at the door?”, suddenly isn’t just playful. It’s almost vulnerable. It’s like he’s saying:

“Everyone thinks the wolf is the threat. But what if the wolf is the one who can’t resist opening the door?”

That’s a classic romance trope: the supposedly dangerous character is actually the one who becomes emotionally exposed first.

When you add that MC is Hunter, it becomes even richer.

She’s literally someone whose job is to hunt dangerous beings (wanderers). If Valko is a werewolf-like figure, then on paper he should fear her, or at least be wary of her. Yet the line suggests the opposite:

One look at you, and I’d willingly let you in.

So who is really in danger?

The hunter could be in physical danger from the wolf.
The wolf could be in emotional danger from the hunter.

That’s the irony.

I think about classic tales like little red riding hood:
In that fairy tale, the wolf gains access through deception. Here, if my interpretation is right, there’s no deception. He’s choosing to open the door. He’s surrendering something voluntarily.

So instead of:

“Beware of the wolf.”

it’s closer to:

“Beware… because the wolf has already fallen for you.”

I need him to come back :(

I made this edit as a tribute to Valko, the cancelled Love and Deepspace love interest. I was genuinely excited to meet him and experience his story.

It's simply my way of expressing how much I was looking forward to his character and sharing my appreciation for the work that went into creating him. I hope you enjoy the edit.
