Are my teachers good, bad, in the middle?

New semester, new me.

I want to get an impression of how well the course with them will be.

Advice is appreciated!

Has anyone ever done swimming for physical education? What’s it like?

This was the only phys.ed class left. I’m incredibly insecure about my body and, don’t know whether or not to drop it or wait till I can switch it out hopefully for something else. Are we allowed to wear whatever?

However, I really love swimming. I vacation every year simply to be able to swim, even if I’m terrible at it. I’ve also read a bunch of papers about how swimming is one of the best sports for helping your body get healthy, functional and strong.

Has anyone done this class or, had this teacher before? I’d love some insight please :)

Make friends

Do you guys consider it’s harder to socialize and make friends in cegep compared to high school? I see a lot of people saying that they stay alone during their session because of this. Idk, any thoughts?

French language class - is this ok?

I, first year, tried to register for a French language class at the level indicated on my progression chart, but the scheduling system told me there were no schedules that would work. I am taking a phys ed this semester instead. Is this okay? I'm just worried because I know there are French requirements in order to graduate and I'm worried I'm already behind... Am I worried for nothing?

Thanks

How many classes do you need to be a full-time student?

How many classes minimum can you take if you already paid the fee?

I paid the 200$ for the semester but, I don’t think I can handle a full course load (7-8 courses)

This was the schedule I got assigned. Tomorrow is my registration. I need to add physical ed, since it’s the only gen ed I have left to do.

These are all core classes for the program I’m in. I’m not sure I can handle anything difficult this semester, so I might take out calculus.

I’m debating dropping out or, simply doing the bare minimum so I can still feel present in life. Is this a bad schedule at all? Any advice?

Adding non-program/progression chart courses

Last semester, I went to academic advising to request to be able to register for physics and calculus courses that are not part of my progression chart/program. They mentioned being able to register for them during summer when school starts, however I'm not sure when exactly they meant. Are we meant to try to register during preference course change? Anyone that knows or had experience with this please let me know! Thank you!

Opinions on this schedule and teachers??

This is my first semester at Vanier and I wanna know if I did a good selection of teachers and classes. Btw I don’t mind long spaces between classes (I live 5min walking distance from Vanier)
Does someone know these teachers?
