Noah Fearnley for Vertical Drama king

If you haven't voted for the Verties yet, consider voting for Noah Fearnley for King.

He's one of the few vertical drama actors who has consistently branched out into indie film and television while still delivering strong performances in verticals. To me, he's shown that this genre can be a stepping stone rather than a destination.

I also appreciate that he doesn't constantly ask people to vote or flood social media with campaigning. His work speaks for itself, and I'd love to see that recognized.

If you've enjoyed his performances this year, please take a minute to cast your vote before voting closes. Every legitimate vote counts.

The AI Dramas are... Something

I don't mean to yuck anyone's yum, but WTF!?

I let my curiosity get the best of me and I scrolled through one of the AI dramas that keep popping up in Tik Tok. OMG, it was so bad.

The names kept changing. They kept mispronouncing words, my guess is that it was the AI reading their typos or something. The accents changed mid sentence and then there were moments where it seemed like they were doing a speed run through the dialogue and then at points speeding through whole scenes. The way they are edited (if they are edited) was horrific. No cohesion, at all.

And the cherry on top was that every man was some alternate universe version of Henry Cavill. 😂

Honestly it felt like a slap to my intelligence that they think this slop is acceptable. They clearly put very little effort into writing and editing, and took the same tired storyline that has been remade by human verticals about 50+ times. With AI you'd think they would be bold and at least try to tell a new story and make it cohesive.

If you find it entertaining, more power to you. I can't judge people for watching them, when I know how bad regular verticals are and I still (sometimes) watch them. But I am going to judge the people who make them for not at least trying.

Honestly, at this point I do kind of feel the same way about human verticals. They also seem to be getting worse and not better which is a shame.

I'm really unsure about the future of verticals lately.

Does anyone know what this is?

It's a bit of a longshot, I saw an advert preview, but then it went off and the page updated. But maybe someone can figure out what it is from a vague description?

A girl is taken from a cage, she's been gone for 5 years, fled? She's then is imprisoned and a torturous collar with glowing runes is placed on her neck, her narration says it won't supress the curse. she's thrown into a cell and told she useful to breed an heir for the alliance, they'll take it in turns. It reverse harem with I think 5 guys, one at least is a werewolf, one is a white haired vampire (Weird fangs). At the end of the preview a red haired man is complaining how much she hates them.

Charlotte and the Seven Frat Brothers

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt35664774/?ref_=wh_t_8

App: CandyJar

FL: Bella Walker

ML: Jesse Katz

Teaser: When Charlotte's piss-poor planning lands her in a frat house instead of a dorm, things get interesting fast. Anyone who knows college-Greek rules knows girls don't live in frat houses. There are parties upon parties and of course rivalries. Also, many a shirtless morning in the kitchen. Charlotte and Chase (frat pres) are drawn to each other even though they're not supposed to be. (trying to avoid spoilers, so that's all, folks)

Award for best supporting actor goes to... Jacob Flores as Darren.

Dramas on Peacock

This might be old news to some folks, but for those of you who don't know verticals are up on Peacock. I haven't had the chance to check out the full library, but if you have a subscription it might be worth a look.

Link/Title Requests: A Guide

We are getting overrun with link and title requests and I noticed they are overshadowing the regular posts where people are just trying to have discussions about the dramas, actorsm platforms, etc. People are also doing repeat requsts for the same things, and I'm honestly tired of removing them. This is what I was worried about when I stopped mandated requests the megathread.

So, I'm going to try to help you guys out with finding links and titles on your own BEFORE coming here and asking. Please read this, and ask questions on this post if you need clarifcation. If we keep getting inunndated with requests I'm going to revert back to megathread requests only.

For links:

First and foremost, check the apps. I know folks can't afford subscriptions. But many of them allow you to unlock episodes or earn coins by watching ads. I know it sucks, but it is the easiest way to find what you want to watch.

Here are some other methods.

Search the title on Google, click or tap "videos". Sometimes you get lucky and it will show you results on DailyMotions, Facebook, Youtube.

Search the title directly on DailyMotion. This can be tricky because they aren't always under their actual titles. Keep in mind the owners of these dramas work to have these shows removed from where they aren't authorized to be. This means that sometimes the shows are there, but under different names. What I have noticed is that the title is sometimes a description of what the show is about. Searching generalized keywords: mafia, alpha, lost heiress, etc, may bring you closer to finding what you're looking for. Also, click on a random show with the same theme and then scroll through the recommended videos.

There are so more and more available shows on both Tik Tok and Youtube.

For titles:

If you can, take a screenshot of the clip (assuming you're seeing an ad on Tik Tok or Instagram or somewhere). Go to Google and tap or click the camera to do an image search. Put the screen shot there and see what it says. This is hit or miss, but it has worked for me a couple of times. The key is to get sometimes that stands out in the clip, like a character in a certain outfit, or setting.

Also, try different search engines for both links and titles. Google isn't the best lately and the AI answers are awful. But, beyond that, they also try not to show results that may violate copyright. Some other search engines don't abide by that. Try those.

This Subreddit:

If all else fails and you have to come here hoping someone, somehow has a link or title please take a minute to see if anyone else has asked for the same title. Either in a post or in the megathread. If no one has shared a link, it may not have been found/available. Don't post and repost requests for the same shows, please. It's not only pointless, it gets to a point where it is disrespectful.

Lastly, something everyone needs to realize is that these companies don't want their shows posted all over. They are also looking to see where the links are and having them removed. When we share links, we are telling them where they are and who to copyright strike. So, this is a double-edged sword. I do believe it is going to be harder and harder to find links because of this. All that to say, if you can't find what you're looking for, there is reason for that. Get the apps if you have the time and/or funds.
