Gifting Costumes

I wish we could gift costumes to friends.. My dad is on the app with me and he wanted the fishing stuff.. unfortunately dad is not really tech savvy (mom downloaded the app and installed it for him) so he didn’t have enough donuts because he always forgets how to collect and claim 🥲

Thoughts about more neutral language?

Hi,

I was wondering if it has ever been considered to change the overweight/obese/very obese categories to more neutral language (or what reads more neutral to me) so that it matches the healthy/very healthy on the other side?

I think the Charlie avatar should stay the same and looks cute whether he is very obese or very healthy, but I think the language can be a bit triggering to people who are actually overweight.

Like people who are overweight don’t need ANOTHER reminder that they’re overweight when they’re trying to do something about it. Since bodies and their shape are very much not neutral in our societies (and fat people being constantly reminded in small or big ways that they are overweight), I think that it could be positive to use more neutral terminology like "less healthy", "unhealthy" or "very unhealthy"

I’m airing this because I recommended the app to my friend who recently gained weight, and is overweight, and she deleted it because she found the reminder of it triggering (and not motivating), esp when she didn’t reach her steps. Due to this experience, I have been reluctant to recommend what is truly one of my favorite apps to friends who are overweight or obese.

What do others and developers think?
