Prestige
Once you hit the level cap, your account is no longer "finished". You can now prestige: start a new climb and keep a permanent bonus for it.
- Prestige at level 50: you lose a chunk of XP (you land back around level 25, higher if you had banked XP past the cap), and in exchange you get a permanent XP bonus, a prestige point, a free full skill respec and a prestige badge.
- Permanent XP bonus: +50% XP on your first prestige, then +10% more per extra prestige level (+60%, +70%...).
- The XP bonus is disabled once you are back at level 50: at the cap you can only bank surplus XP, so boosting it would reward camping on the cap instead of prestiging again. It comes back the moment you prestige and your level drops.
- Prestige points: spend them on a single skill to push it beyond its normal maximum, one bonus level per point. Stacking points on the same skill costs more and more (1, then 2, then 4, then 8...).
- Resetting your skills refunds every prestige point you had assigned, so you can move them around.
- Your lifetime XP is now tracked separately from your current level, so prestiging never erases what you have earned overall.
If your account is already level 50
You have been capped with nowhere to put your XP, so nothing of what you banked is thrown away.
- All the XP you earned past the cap is kept. Prestige removes a fixed 65,000 XP from your total, it does not reset you to zero. Level 50 is reached at 86,600 XP, so an account sitting exactly on the cap lands at level 25, while an account that kept playing far past it lands much higher (around level 49 with 150,000 XP banked).
- Retroactive XP bonus: you earned all that surplus XP without the prestige bonus, simply because prestige did not exist yet. We are paying it back: +50% of every XP point you banked above 86,600, credited to both your current XP and your lifetime XP. It is granted once, and inactive accounts get it too.
- The catch-up is a one-time thing for that waiting period. Once you have prestiged, the bonus simply applies live to the XP you earn.
- Your skills are fully respecced for free when you prestige, so the points you had invested are not lost, you just place them again.
Daily rewards: streak calendar & come-back gifts
The flat daily reward is replaced by a 7-day calendar with a streak, and returning players are now welcomed back with a gift.
- Daily calendar: rewards grow day after day (money and cases going up each day) and day 7 is the jackpot: 35 money, 10 gems and 3 cases. After day 7 the calendar loops, and your streak keeps counting.
- Streak line: a progress bar shows where you are in the week, your current streak and your best streak.
- Claim popup: the daily reward now opens by itself when you log in, and tells you how many players have already claimed today (and where you rank among them).
- Come-back rewards: if you were away for a while, a reward is waiting when you log back in. 3+ days away gives 150 XP, 50 money and 2 cases, 7+ days gives 400 XP, 150 money and 3 cases, 30+ days gives 800 XP, 400 money and 5 cases. One come-back reward every 14 days maximum.
Announcements for countries and military units
Government announcements are no longer a government-only, read-once message. Military units can publish their own, and announcements are now something you can react to.
- MU announcements: the owner and the commanders can publish an announcement to the members, with the same rules as a government one (2 per hour, active for 24h, then archived).
- Likes and comments: announcements can now be upvoted and commented, on top of the existing view count.
- History: past announcements are kept and browsable instead of disappearing once expired.
- Announcements are still readable only by the audience they target (citizens of the country, members of the unit), and are now capped at 1000 characters.
GIFs in chat and articles
- GIF picker (Supporter Plan): a new GIF button in the chat composer and in the article editor, with trending, search, and a favorites tab to save the GIFs you use the most.
- GIFs are rendered inline in messages and articles, several of them side by side when a message contains more than one, and clicking one opens it full size.
- The chat no longer jumps while a GIF loads: the space it will take is reserved before it arrives.
- New Small GIFs option in the layout options if you prefer a more compact chat, and the conversation list shows a small tag instead of playing the GIF in the preview.
