Savage model 99
Picked one up the other day for dirt cheap (needs a bit of work). Not the weirdest thing ever but I thought that was a pretty odd combination of things on what seems like otherwise a basic rifle at a glance. Lever action, but fed from an internal rotary magazine complete with a small ammo counter on the side. Also was one of the first lever actions to use "pointy" ammo thanks to said magazine. And for an added bit of obscure history, was briefly issued to the Canadian Home Guard, during WW1.
