Has anyone seen this?
I'm not sure if I'm the first to bring this up, but has anyone seen the posts from local high school students about the temperature in their classrooms?
There's an Instagram account called Repair the Air that's speaking out about a serious issue: the school system has monitored, locked temperature gauges that students and staff cannot adjust. According to these students, the system cannot be fixed in the summer or winter, leaving children in scorching heat or freezing cold inside school buildings for extended periods.
I have a screenshot from their account to show what I mean. Based on what the students are reporting, it can sometimes take months for the temperature to be adjusted or for the air conditioning to turn on. One student reportedly passed out from the heat just a week ago.
Why hasn't this been addressed yet? What can we do to get this fixed? This is unacceptable, and something needs to change.
