I don’t even know if this movie exists but I remember little details here and there so vaguely:

Main character is a boy, maybe preteen or early teens

His dad died when he was exactly 40 years old. This was a point made in the movie.

He has some blanket cave or something in his room.

There’s a scene where he’s rummaging through some keys and trying them all out.

He has a calculator watch. I remember because it’s the first time I saw one before.

The movie ends with him finally opening a box from his dad, it’s full of rocks from his dad’s biggest moments in life, one of which was a rock he picked up the day the boy was born.

I'm looking for a romantic comedy about a man who becomes a pastry chef after a childhood experience involving chocolate and a red-haired girl. As an adult, he reunites with the same red-haired woman, who opens the door of her house completely covered in chocolate. They have an affair, his girlfriend leaves him, and years later she finds him in a pastry shop playing chess with their daughter using edible chess pieces.
