Lebanese food?

Is there any Lebanese food left in the valley? After the little bakery shut down forever ago I’ve been craving grape leaves and tabouleh even if from a grocery store. Anyone have any leads?

Oglebay properties neglected🙁

Annually my family travels across the country to spend a week with my extended family at Oglebay. We also occasionally spend Thanksgiving there. We rent several cottages or stay in the large luxury cabin all together.

This year was so depressing as every cottage our family stayed in had multiple issues one so bad that my brother and his family left early… other than our family it seemed like one other cottage was being stayed in! This is not the norm… the indoor pool was not maintained… cloudy water and questionable debris… and the outdoor pool full of black looking mildew or mold. The playground is basically a hazard at this point… in deep need of at least a turf reset.

The zoo was wonderful as always and the lodge does look beautiful…. But wow what a shame to let all of the cottages go so far… the roof of my brother’s cottage was leaking so bad right next to the fireplace and TV and then several rocks ended up actually falling loose from near the ceiling of the fireplace. Extremely dangerous, hence why he left early.

I don’t really know the point of this post but just wanted to share my sadness over it all… Oglebay is such a special place that deserves to be around for future generations to enjoy, just like the Oglebay family intended.

What's The Status of Construction at 1115 Main Street?

Just looking at Realtor (dot) com and I see that there's two available units for sale at 1115 Main Street. The website says that they've been on the market for 449 days, which is not good.

When I use street view on Google Maps it shows that the building is still under construction. (The last update is September, 2025.)

Also, $250K seems like a real chunk of change.

I need help

I’ve been going through incredibly rough panic attacks to the point last night I finally took my self into the ER. they gave me a shot of a t I v a n and it’s the first time I’ve felt relief in months. It’s easier said than done getting prescribed this medication and I also don’t currently have insurance. If anyone can help me in this time I would greatly appreciate it . I spent 131$ out of pocket for a doc appointment for the panic attacks and left with a script for cymbalta :/ I understand in the long run this medication may help my over all anxiety but I need something in the moment on top that I can take as a crutch to get thru the panic because other wise I rarely can on my own. when the hospital gave me a dose of Ativan it was genuinely the first time I wasn’t hyper thinking and worrying and also physically my chest relaxed. it finally gave me hope. but I woke up the next day feeling that same inpending doom and it’s getting hard to do day to day task. I can’t eat. I’m sleeping super. if there’s anyone out there than could help I would greatly appreciate it thank you.

Inter-city Sports

Saw the clip about Park and Central “scrimmaging” and while that’s great, that’s such a baby step toward what should be very regular contests between those schools (plus Linsly). Why don’t these schools play each other more? What’s the backstory here?

R/C racing in upstairs building near/in S. Wheeling?

Back in the earlier part of 2000s to maybe 2010ish, I used to go with my father in law to place where they raced rc cars around in the upstairs (if I remember correctly) of a building in S Wheeling.

It was 40 or older crowd, and it was just a good time all around. Id love to know if it's still a thing and how do I join? I'd ask him, but he unfortunately died.

Any information would be awesome, as I am now in my 40s and would love to get into it.
