Unable to verify email

I've finally come to the point where I'm ready to buy some parts from WinWing, but upon signing in to my account I'm asked to verify the email address.

I do not get any email. I don't have anything in the spam folder. I reached out to support which told me to use gmail or yahoo (I have my own domain name, so why would I). They told me to add three addresses in a whitelist, which I did. But still nothing...

I've never had issues ordering anywhere else for the 25+ years I've had this domain and address.

Put mildly, I'm frustrated at how difficult they make it.

I checked ebay for listings, but just one of the parts I want cost almost as much as the whole order I'd put in! No thanks..

In frustration I thought "well, let's delete my account and create a new". Not so easy. I must confirm via a link, that they claim is sent to my email address - that I want to delete my account.

But guess what! It never shows up in my inbox.

So I'm clueless at what I should do now.

Was going to buy from WinWing but Pre-Ordering date has moved? Would like some clarification please.

Hej,
So I’ve been eyeing to get myself the “URSA MINOR JOYSTICK” & the “URSA MINOR 32 THROTTLE” along side the “Throttle Desk Mount5” for the throttle, however a few days ago it stated that the “Throttle Desk Mount5” was available for pre-ordering with an ETA of the 18th of May, currently the pre-order has moved again to the 5th of June.

So my questions is, if I were to buy the things stated above, aswel as the “Throttle Desk Mount5” would that mean it will ship after the 5th of June, or is the estimated time of arrival on the 5th of June?

Thanks in advance!

P.S.

As someone who lives in Europe, do I have to be anxious about WinWings return/refund policies?
I’ve heard many good things about WinWing, but I’ve also heard nightmare stories about them which makes me a little tense, knowing it’s quite a sum of money.
Hopefully someone can take the edge off for me!
Thanks!

Some positive feedback about WinWing/WinCTRL customer support

Considered to not risk my lurker status and just leave it be, but the amount of bad reviews of WinWing customer support motivated me to post this.

Got my WinWing Ursa Minor Space Fighter HOTAS about a year ago.

Never had a problem with it, until a fortnight ago I smashed the USB-C-Plug into the casing, while I was changing sitting-position. I was furious because of my mistake and sure that the warranty wouldn't hold this up. Thought I could maybe solder it, but as many of you know, the USB-C on the circuit board is just layed on the print, with only 4 tiny points to hold it in position and my mistake broke some pins away anyway.

Searching the internet for other solutions, made me unsure if I should bother getting in contact with the customer support. Reviews of "prewritten questions and answers", bad english (like mine ;]), long reaction times and overall a Do-Not-Care-attitude.

Was thinking about just getting a new one (VKB space-STECS looks reeaaally nice), but was hesitant, because after all I was happy with the throttle.

So I was getting in contact with customer support and while, yes, the first statement was already, that it's not within the warranty, they quickly were ready to send me a spare circuit board for 20 Dollars (and another 30 for shipment but oh well). After a week it finally arrived and i was eager to try it out. Circuit board was identical, but the USB-C seemed to be better mounted than the last. I read many stories about broken USB-C-Ports on WinWings hardware so it seems like they optimize things by user feedback?

Plugged it in only to realize that both the X- and Y-axis are dead. The LED's were blinking in 3 different magnitudes, which strenghtened the feeling, that this is a faulty circuit board.

Mood ruined and the VKB STECS was somehow relevant again.

I decided to pull through however and after a see-saw with support over 2 days it turned out to be just a calibration issue. Very straight questions, every step foolproof written and outcome-oriented. Now everything works again for a week so I'm happy to be a satisfied WinWing-customer once again, being one of the few, who had a pleasant experience.

And now I'm baffled how long this text already is...so:

tl:dr - Throttle dead, cuz my own fault, was demotivated by people on the internet to go through customer support, did it anyway, after waiting for spare part and quick troubleshoot with support, everything works fine.

So there's a positive story about customer support and maybe it helps someone out there to get ready for the customer-support-battle.

Have a nice one.

WinDGAF does it again

So after four months of sitting harmlessly plugged in on my desk, my hornet UFC suddenly dies. The standard hilarity with WinWing’s so-called “ customer service” ensues (see pics). Shared for your viewing pleasure since there’s nothing else I’m gonna get out of this experience other than maybe do a little community service and steer a few folks towards the safer waters of Virpil, VKB etc.

I wouldn’t be so mad if the product hadn’t been so poorly executed, and their support process wasn’t geared towards getting them out of a quality crisis of their own making. While the device itself works great (until it doesn’t), I pulled it open today to take a look and the USB port had been held on with no solder, just some adhesive and tiny unsoldered clips on the feet. So the first time I unplugged it, it had pulled the connection right off the circuit board and took the copper with it so not only is it busted but it’s completely unfixable. That’s just a poor design and they won’t own up to it.

Caveat emptor.

Update: Attorney friend suggested we file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. The FTC won’t act on a single complaint, but all complaints flow into a database used by law enforcement & regulatory agencies all over the US; If one of these decides there’s a pattern of fraud or abuse, they may act. I’ve done mine.

5 months of battling Winctrl CS…

Finally got the call today that my chargeback went through. In late November I ordered the Ursa Minor 32 + PAC set. Early January it was finally delivered. A big bag with a small (ish) box inside it. I thought maybe they were sending the other part separately?

Nope, the bag had two codes on it, one for the PAC, one for the throttle. I immediately contacted their CS and UPS to try and resolve it. Took pics of the bag, the box and its contents and everything needed. Even bought the throttles again from global shipping and asked for just a refund from the missing set rather than them sending a new one. Nope. They kept pushing back against me. So I went to PayPal and somehow they were allowed to request I send back an item I didn’t receive in the first place, this went on for 3 months. So I went to my bank and issued a chargeback, explaining the same thing, with the same photo proof, same details etc. finally got the call today that the chargeback went through.

Buyer beware. Their products are amazing, but their customer service doesn’t exist. If you can find it on Amazon, always go that route first.

Hey yall I got the ursa minor throttle and it arrived yesterday, last night it was working all good, i did the calibrations and downloaded the profiles and stuff, but today is suddenly not working, i tried resetting it and recalibrating it but when it goes into reverse thurst mode, it goes crazy and full reverse puts it into the toga position.
