Local Honey?
Does anyone know some local beekeepers who sell honey?
Where I used to live, I bought some honey from local flowers that was very helpful with hay fever.

Should probably post this on the sixth form subreddit but oh well, I have a very good chance of boarding at Peter Symonds and was wondering what it’s like for 16-18 year olds.
I live on coast so not far at all but I would much prefer to live anywhere other than home. I visit Winchester often but never enough to find myself wanting to do things / be bored. I like the quietness of the city but when it comes to activity’s all people are saying is pubs and drinking which is obviously not doable for my age.
Because I will be in education I can’t imagine I’ll find myself bored very often but for someone who isn’t hugely into sports and can’t drink I was wondering if there’s any activity’s I could do, many of my friends will also be going and I’m sure I’ll make friends at the sixth form so meeting people isn’t a problem.
I’m sure I’ll find myself reading a lot or doing indoor activity’s but when it comes to it, what’s there to do in Winchester for 16-18 year olds?
Does anyone here live in Winchester and work/study in Southampton? Could you tell me if it's a reasonable routine?
I'll be doing a two-month internship at the University of Southampton. Because of the short period I'll be staying, I haven't been able to find any room rentals in the city (aside from the unsanitary ones and the ones that tried to scam me). However, I found a great option in Winchester. I'm considering going ahead with a rental agreement there, since the rent is significantly lower than what's charged in Southampton.
One important detail: I won't need to go to the university every day — maybe once or twice a week. I also know there's a monthly Bluestar bus pass that lets you ride as many times as you want, right?
What do you all think about this situation?
I am visiting my mother in laws in the centre of the city for the weekend and she has a leak under her sink which has been going on for some time. She says she has struggled to find a local plumber in the past for little jobs so I was hoping someone could recommend a reliable chap who does small domestic jobs. Probably won’t call till the morning, we have a pan under it for now. Many thanks
Anybody else being kept awake by the volume of the Wilkinson set at Boomtown tonight/this morning? Literally not a quiet room in the whole house, it's driving me mad.
**EDIT: For those of you going home from Boomtown today and desperately searching for some way to stabilise your brain, this is not an anti-Boomtown post! I love festivals! Genuinely, go out there and have so much fun (life is gonna get hard, enjoy it while you're young!). This is a local discussion about one set from Friday. He doesn't need you to defend him, he's a big boy. Hope you were sensible enough to book off work tomorrow but if not then: protein, fats, lucozade. Lots of em.
i've just had my offer to study at the university of winchester confirmed, and i'm wondering what the diversity is like in winchester and hampshire in general? i'm a mixed race british-ghanaian
hi! not sure if i’m in the right sub, but i’m hopefully moving to winchester from essex next month for university, and i’m wondering how difficult it is to get a job there if you’re a student
If anyone knows the Winchester test routes, I’d really appreciate any last-minute tips especially tricky roundabouts, junctions, lane changes or places where people commonly make mistakes.
Also, if you know any useful YouTube videos showing Winchester test routes or the difficult roundabouts, please share them. That would be really helpful tonight.
And yes, first thing tomorrow morning before test is already there banana 🍌😂
Anyone round the Worthies area know of any fires? I've just had to close the window because of the smell of smoke. I would be very surprised if it's coming from the New Forest fire as I've just been in Weeke which is further south and it was all fine. Got back home and it hit me as soon as I got out of the car.
I have some holiday time, and I'd like to visit a beach mid-week (I know it's still school holidays and will probably be busy, but still not as busy as the weekend). I don't have a car. Does anyone know of a decent beach I could get to, from Winchester, by public transport? I know Bournemouth is an option, but that's about as far as I would go for a day trip, and it would be great if there's a different option to explore. Thanks.
