Looking for any advice before I transfer hosts to wix tomorrow.

Edited for clarification ***
I built a website in wix for a tattoo shop that we are getting ready to launch tomorrow afternoon. The website will replace an existing website on a different server. I’m just trying to keep the domain and email address. I’m looking for any advice so this goes as smoothly as possible. Basically it’s just a .net website host transfer with an existing shop email

  1. How easy is it to keep that email intact while transferring from a home server to wix server?
  2. The site has a contact section where people put their basic info and tattoo questions and when they click send, it is supposed to go to that .net email that will then forward to everyone’s work emails. How easy is attaching a contact section to an email that will be part of the hosting transfer?
  3. The previous site is hosted on a home server this lady made for them years ago, and we are in contact with her. From what I understand we just get some basic info from her to transfer the hosting service to wix server and that seems pretty straight forward, but I’ve never done that so I’m naturally a bit nervous something will go wrong.

I don’t know if this is all super basic stuff. I just know how to make the website and have images and buttons link to the proper place and how to make it look nice. I have no experience with host transferring or domain emails, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Help me build a clean, smart Wix Studio site in the next 7ish Days

I’m in marketing for an international climate policy NGO, and we’re rebuilding our website in Wix Studio.

I already have the content, structure, direction, and page planning done. I’ve built sites before, so I’m not looking for someone to “discover the brand” or disappear into strategy mode for two weeks. I need someone practical and design-aware who can help me actually execute the site with me.

The work is mostly:

• Designing clean page layouts in Wix Studio

• Placing and formatting content

• Making copy-heavy pages look polished and readable

• Creating a few reusable templates

• Helping get the site live

The aesthetic is minimalist, modern, institutional. Lots of typography, spacing, hierarchy, image placement, etc. Not flashy startup energy. More clean think tank/policy organization.

Roughly 12–15 pages total, though some use shared templates.

Timeline is fast: ideally 7–10 days.

Budget is around $25–35/hour depending on experience and speed.

Big plus if you actually understand how to make long-form content look good in Wix Studio because that’s honestly the main challenge here.

Also, respectfully, no agencies. I tend to work best with independent people like myself who can sit down, actually build, send iterations back and forth quickly, and collaborate in real time without twelve layers of project management.

That’s the vibe.

Send portfolio/examples, availability, and rates.

Site oriented different on different screens

Working on designing my website for my home service business. When I work on it on my desktop and switch to my laptop to view the site it looks completely different and things get cut off, move around, just overall glitchy. Is there anyway to fix this? I’m worried depending on what screen a potential customer maybe viewing on that it will be jumbled up for them.

I can't figure out what's going on, maybe someone here can!

Here's a visual of my problem. On the left is the Wix interface, on the right is the published result on my Android phone. So, I have a section including a container box with the striped ochre jpg, also containing a button and some other images. As you can see, on the right there's a gap where the striped image isn't reaching the bottom of the section, and the pale blue section background is encroaching on the button. I cannot figure out why it's doing that!!

Does anyone have an idea? I wanted to try adding a strip with the striped image as its background, but I can't add a strip in the mobile version, I'd have to add it in the desktop version but that version is different.

Thanks in advance if you have any suggestions!

Wix Segments - auto-renew subscriptions

Hello, I have a wix site with an annual/monthly subscrition method. to put out emails to our subscribers ive created 3 segments using:

if-> purchased plan -> monthly/monthly plan name

However, many of our members enroll in an auto-renewal payment model and their subscription type is "auto-renew annual". These members do not seem visible to wix segments from the "purchased plan" segment option. is there a solution?

I don't want to use member status as this seems to capture people who enroll for free as members by supplying their email address.

I would appreciate any help someone could offer
