Finally leaving Wix after 10 years!

Actually, it's more like 12 or 13 years. I'm glad to be done with it because I'm not a tech guy, and I've struggled with all the cumbersome things that Wix has put in to keep you from being productive. I'm just going with landing pages, sales pages, and an email campaign, and I'm building it all in Kit.

I'm using Claude, Chatgtp and
Gemini

Happy to answer any questions if anybody is moving post-Wix to a new platform

Wix vs GoDaddy vs Squarespace: which is best for a new site?

If the goal is low friction setup, Wix looks like the strongest pick. It feels more beginner friendly than Godaddy and more practical than Squarespace if you want the domain side to be simple.

Sloooow

Good God, is Wix Harmony slow! I’ve been considering transitioning from squarespace to Wix because there’s several advantages for me. However, the slow speed of Wix maybe a dealbreaker. I literally just started my site. I barely have any content on there. It takes 4 to 5 minutes after logging in for my site to load to work on. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to load prebuilt sections. Don’t even get me started about Aria. 15 to 20 minutes to complete simple task tasks is a joke.

I’ve tried clearing my cache and I’m using incognito windows at others suggestions, but it hasn’t helped at all.

Could there be other reasons why it is so slow or is this just the nature of working with Wix?
