Are these clues to the WPBL team names?

All four WPBL team accounts posted captionless photos today, and it definitely feels like they want people guessing.

San Francisco posted the Golden Gate Bridge in fog.
New York posted a city skyline.
Los Angeles posted a glowing sky.
Boston posted water.

Maybe these are clues to the team names. Maybe they are just setting the tone before an announcement. Either way, it feels intentional.

What are your guesses?

The path is knuckleball

I’ve always thought the first woman to play in MLB would be a knuckleball pitcher. It’s not a question of range or power, just mastery of that pitch. Any softball parents reading this—the door is wide open. See if she can throw a knuckleball!

Three WPBL player paths to know before Opening Day

I’ve been working on player features ahead of the first WPBL season, and these three are now up on This Is Women’s Baseball.

Ela Day-Bédard, Liz Gilder and Natsuki Yonetani all arrive in the league through different baseball paths, including Team Canada, Baseball BC, Samurai Japan and international competition.

There are quite a few player features on the site now, with more being added as I keep working through the rosters.

Read them here:

Where do i start?

Hello everyone!

Hope this post finds you well.

Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to play baseball.

I’ve never been able to, but I want to change that.

I’m 24 years old. Where should I start playing baseball? I am based in Brooklyn NY currently.

Thanks!
