



Algerian fibula
Classic Aurès (Algeria) shape, but unusual design in the center.
It seems that a lot of jewelers in the Maghreb were Jewish, and this piece was most likely created for a Jewish customer.
Unmarked, so it could have been made before 1859 when hallmarks became mandatory after the colonisation of Algeria by France.
