Have you tried Ellipsus (writing tool)?

I just heard about Ellipsus from a friend and was curious of people’s experience with it or opinions? I just created an account to check it out. I’ve historically used Google Docs, but have been seeking an alternative and this seems like a promising option 😊

I want to refine my writing.

I am 35. Having been traumatized into a perfectionist people pleaser, I find that I am dyslexic with PTSD. I need to overcome my issues and I love easy formulaic math and I noticed in school that writing is and has an emotional formula behind every piece. My reading comprehension scared my teachers in the 5th grade testing when no child left behind started but my reading speed was 2 grade level and Nothing much has changed. If I read to fully understand what I am reading I read every slowly, average reader reads at 200-250 words per min, Dyslexic reads 100-125 words per minute. A dyslexic is missing apart of the natural phonetic capability of an average person. That is a reality I have been running from since I was 16. I was in denial till I was 25 and at my first office job.

But enough context I would like opinions on what courses and or source material would be a good start?

Should Journaling Be Included?

One of the great things about being an early member in barely existent new sub is you get defacto control to an extent over what it becomes, so I'll put this out there for everyone to discuss.

Yesterday we got our first post from a real user before I was even done getting things set up around here, and they were talking about something that I described in my comment as a sort of vicarious journaling through characters and plots. Later in the day my 10yo daughter comes to me with a video on bullet journaling saying she wants one. This got me thinking about journaling as a writing form.

Given the generalist nature of the sub, should I invite more discussion about journaling as part of the writing craft by adding a lost flair for it? I'd love to hear other opinions before moving ahead.

Thanks!
