Master Tempo quietly wrecking your mixes for some of you/me.

Master Tempo holds your key while you change tempo — but it's doing that correction in real time, and the harder you lean on it, the more it smears the sound. Push a whole set through it and everything starts sounding flat and samey.

There's a cleaner way: Master Tempo off, and pitching shifts key too, predictably. A track that's "wrong" at 0% can land exactly in your key once you pitch it — no correction, no artifacts. Rekordbox's Related Key panel has no idea about this, it only checks keys at 0%.

The wheel maths is easy (±5 gives you your hidden gems). The tedious part is checking which of your tracks actually fit — scrolling, sorting, squinting at BPMs.

Built a tool that does that bit instantly. Punch in your key + tempo, it factors in the pitch shift, and pulls every track in your library that lands clean — by name, ready to load. Lives on your phone next to the decks.

Not a rulebook — just for when you want a set to sound its absolute best. Would genuinely love feedback: https://claude.ai/public/artifacts/1746e708-e717-447e-96d3-70461960459b
