Planning to buy tablet, my top choice is Xiaomi Pad 8 but can you suggest more?

I have been searching for a tablet to use for studying mostly note taking and watching lectures. I'm still hesitant on what tablet i should buy my options were:

- Xiaomi Pad 8

- Xiaomi Pad 7

- Xiaomi Pad 2 pro 5G

This 3 is my options right now but I'm leaning to the Pad 8 because of its processor but the down side it was the storage because my budget is ranging about 25k and I can't go beyond the Pad 8 8 ram-128 gb but in other hand i can go Xiaomi pad 7 for 12 Ram - 256 gb. Xiaomi pad 2 Pro 5G was just something I am looking becasue of its battery life. Can you help me decide? Cause I'm planning to buy it tomorrow or today! Any suggestions is okay! I'm open for discussion.

My xiaomi pad is bend?

Today, after two weeks of use, I noticed a tiny bend in my tablet. Is this bend normal?

[Review] 3 months with the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro (12/512GB Matte Glass) - My Pros & Cons

I like tablets in general. I started with early Android tablets, moved to the iPad Mini (2, 4 & 5), and then went back to Samsung with the Tab A8 and S7 FE. The Pad 8 Pro is a huge step up for me.

I’ve been using it since mid-March (so over 3 months now). Here is my honest feedback. If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them in the comments!

Pros :
-Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 4 is an absolute beast. Everything is snappy, and it handles emulation and heavy gaming flawlessly.
-The Screen: Despite not being an OLED, I love this LCD panel. The matte glass version is a game-changer for daylight or outdoor use. It’s going to be very hard for me to go back to a regular glossy screen.
-Battery Life: Awesome. I get around 6 to 10 hours while gaming (closer to 6 hours for heavy titles like Tomb Raider at 120fps). Media playback consumes almost no battery. After 23 cycles since March, the battery health (SoH) is still at 100%.
-Accessories: The Pen and the Focus Keyboard are great. They are very useful, well-conceived, and genuinely improve productivity.
-Connectivity: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work perfectly. I get excellent download speeds, and my Bluetooth devices never disconnect (unlike on some of my Windows laptops).

Cons :
-Speakers: Quite disappointing. They are quiet and pretty mediocre. They are serviceable, but if audio quality is a priority for you, look elsewhere. My old Galaxy S7 FE had much better sound. (I mostly use headphones, so it's not a dealbreaker for me).
-External Display Support: Pretty poor. It works, but only for screen mirroring—there is no "extend" or "external only" mode. Plus, you can't output in 16:9, so you're stuck with the tablet's 3:2 aspect ratio on your monitor.
-Software (HyperOS): It’s just okay. Coming from Samsung's OneUI, HyperOS isn't really exciting. Nothing is fundamentally broken, but nothing really stands out either.
-USB-C Dock Bug: When using a PD USB-C dock, the tablet sometimes fails to charge. I have to unplug and replug the power cable from the dock to kickstart it.

Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It's a solid device, and I hope it will last for years to come.

Thinking of buying the Xiaomi Pad 8

Im thinking of getting the Pad 8 12/256gb. I have 3 major doubts:

  1. Im honestly confused about whether to get the nano texture display or the glossy one. Not gonna use it for notes or with the pen. Mostly will use for gaming (brawl stars and other titles) and media. Im mostly worried about the fingerprints and scratches on the nano texture - not a big fan of those especially when it has great brightness to overcome my usage conditions outdoors.

2.Secondly, I have a M5 Macbook and I want to use this tab as an extended display for when i work. I have seen reviews that the "Interconnectivity" for Hyper OS 3 is really good and works great with Macbooks. Can someone help me with this - like will there be major issues like refresh rate capping to 60hz or bad resolution for this?

  1. I use Airpods Pro 3s and Im going to be using them with the tab as well. Ive seen airpods be dogshit and not functional ( anc and transparency not working) on andriods but ive heard they fixed it in HyperOS 3 and basic functionalties are sorted for this. Has anyone been using these and having issues?

Before you guys ask why im not getting an Ipad, it just isnt in my budget and Im looking for this price range. Im a bit particular about display and refresh rate for this and thats why im leaning towards this one in particular. AHAHAhA
