The Rogue Pattern: Marvel Target this Character as Their "Awards Girl" Insert & Block Out Genuine Live Action Castings

Inde Navarette casting as Rogue is lazy.

She was cast because right now she is an "IT GIRL" with Oscar buzz around her name.

Brown hair, brown eyes. Arizona and California based with Mexican and Australian heritage.

Marvel gave her fans priority over Rogue fans and they chose momentary hype over longterm dedication and comic accuracy.

Inde fans generate the hype and shout down Rogue fans. So Rogue fans have been cast aside for our own character and there is no harmony.

It is a clear greed move and shows that Marvel does not genuinely care about Rogue the character or Rogue fans.

Back in 2000, Anna Paquin was also miscast as Rogue. Similar formula.

Brown hair. Brown eyes. From New Zealand.

Cast purely on hype and Oscar buzz. She was their "awards girl" shoehorned into Rogue.

I'm tired of Rogue's character being the designated AWARDS GIRL insert.

Where Marvel have once again blocked out genuine potential live action castings that are closer to Rogue and DO exist.

So I won't support Inde as Rogue because she could have her pick of any character and chose the popular one over the right one.

Krakoa Is An Island Of Sin And One Of The Worst Eras Ever

Im just gonna say before I get into my thoughts that I am new Marvel fan. All my life I wasnt really into Marvel except for Spiderman, and even then it was just the raimi movies I was into. Sure I loved stuff like Marvel Vs Capcom, but I only liked the Capcom characters.

Late 2024, I started getting into Marvel because of Marvel Rivals, which is a game I basically play religiously. Because of that, it had the "Smash Bros Effect" is what I'd call it. I began to get into anything Marvel. I watched all of the Xmen movies (my favorite being Xmen 2 but I loved some others), most avengers movies and even started watching the Xmen show from the 90s.

Now from what I could gather, the Xmen are an oppressed group of extraordinary human beings that people hate because of their "X-factor". I think?

I had the impression that Charles Xavier was a good but humble dude.

That Beast was an intimidating but kind hearted scientist.

Gambit was the suave guy.

Rogue was the badass girl boss.

Magneto was the tragic villain.

Psylocke was the badass ninja lady (although i hate her entire backstory. Ill take Demon Days Sai any day).

And etc etc.

So why do I say all of this? Well because when I looked into more Xmen stuff, I noticed how apparently the Xmen series was a giant love triangle of constant pairings, breakups, infidelity, and more so of the sort.

And so I asked people "As a person who just got into Marvel a year ago, uh...why are the Xmen so damn horny??? Like seriously everytime I see one of these comics one person is banging someone else while banging like 16 other people.

Like damn I even saw that one comic where wolverine and Scott did it"

And the response i got was mostly "yeah the xmen are kinda crazy, horny, etc."

Then one of my friends who is a big time Marvel fan said this to me in a message;

"one part X-men is a soap opera that's been running since the early 60's so weird things happen sometimes and people point it out. second point the Krakoan era was EXTRAAAAA weird."

So i got really curious obviously. Why was this "Krakoa era" apparently so weird anyway?? It couldnt have been THAT bad right?

Krakoa was just a map from Marvel Rivals right? Ya know the one with the cool visuals and music??

Oh my God, when I tell yall...

Magneto and XAVIER are now apparently dictators who claim themselves as Gods and withhold cures for diseases from humans!

Beast starts commiting MASS GENOCIDE FOR WHATEVER REASON!

They apparently start saying "We need more mutants" which basically seems to me that they wanted the entire island to have a giant orgy or something.

Not to mention Apocalypse who is like the equivalent to Thanos' brother in regards to his infamy (i know he's not his brother obviously but isnt he like the Thanos for the Xmen?) Is now living with them. Magneto i can MAYBE understand but APOCALYPSE???

And then apparently a machine can ressurect any Mutant who ever lived just because. But not really because all it does is make a copy of the person and implant all of their memories before they died so its really just a clone.

Basically, its a hedonistic paradise. And yeah, hedonism is not bad per say, but hedonism usually comes with the context of evil or something similar. Or basically being selfish enough to disregard values for one's own pleasure while squandering everyone else's who gets in the way of that.

I heard that because the Xmen went through so many oppression and battles throughout the years, that the writers decided to give them a huge win for once.

But was THIS REALLY THE WAY TO DO IT?

No let's stand against the humans instead of with them like Xavier said in the show. Let's have giant sex parties and date each other for the sole purpose of there being more than us. Let's kill a whole bunch of people and wonder why Cap hates us.

Like seriously, as a dude who just got into all of this, this seriously dismantled alot of respect i had for the Xmen. And apparently this all happened in the 616 universe, the main one.

Look I get it, I might get ALOT of hate for my take on this and I am more than willing to accept if there's misunderstandings, but I just cant see how any of this is good storytelling.

I already hate Jubilee sucking off Apocalypse any chance she gets in Rivals, but now anytime I hear anything about Krakoa in the game, I just cant help but cringe.

My biggest thought was "How the hell is this NOT a huge villain origin story?" Because thats exactly what this sounds like.

Ive seen some issues with how Cap hates the Xmen, or that one panel where Spiderman cussed the Xmen out, well now im starting to get the impression that they deserved all of that. Do they deserve to be oppressed? Absolutely not.

But just because the Xmen were oppressed doesnt give them validation enough to act like jackasses like this.

I am very interested in anyone seeing this and giving me their thoughts. Do yall agree, disagree, think im stupid whatever else. Just lmk.

Tldr; The Krakoan era is terrible because it heavily washes away all of the good i experienced with the Xmen as a whole with mass genocide, God complexes, breeding galore, withholding cures for diseases from humans, a stupid resurrection machine, and framing it as a huge win that lasted 5 years.
