New busses 😁

I got a chance to see the new busses.

2613, 2617, 2618, 2619 are XD60s. 2625, 2626, 2628, 2629, and 2630. All XD40s.

  1. I'm not sure if this one has been in service yet but it was getting worked on in the tire bay. It is a XD60 just like the rest of the 2600 viva busses.

2614 and 2615 were both in the shop but I didn't get a picture of 2614. Both XD60s as you can see 😁

2620 wheels.

So I can't find it but I'm pretty sure I saw a post asking if the 26 xd40s will have steel or aluminum wheels. If anyone's interested they're steel 😁. I saw 2620 in the shop and I'm pretty certain it had steel wheels too.

Four officers on a single bus

I just got on a single route 320 bus from VMC where FOUR, large male fare officers were standing by the door to ensure people tapped, as well as a fifth YRT employee standing by for the same reason. I would understand one or two; people should be paying their fares. But four to five fare officers at a single bus seems like an unnecessary and wasteful use of transit funds. I’m on the way to work right now; if we had four cashiers at a single register would that make sense to people? Or five bus drivers on a bus? Not really…

9 Ninth Line electric buses.

Route 9 doesn't operate electric buses all day but sometimes operates during rush hours. So it's summer now, and during school days, the electric bus switches to run on 415 route.
