Yamaha 252SE Repeated Communication Failure Errors

2021 model year. After ~30min on the water, I start getting a smattering of different errors: GPS, Stereo Remote, Joystick, BCU, Port Engine, Starboard Engine, etc. like “BCU Communication Failure”. Sometimes they beep for a while with the error and sometimes they beep for a half second and stop.

My transducer needs to be replaced, and I get a “Transducer Communication Failure” when I start the boat but only that once.

The boat runs perfectly, other than the annoying error beeps. Has anyone successfully solved this on their own? I can’t get it into the dealer for a few weeks and it’s boating time. I tried replacing both batteries and that did not help.

First time jet boat buyer here. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys! First off thank you in advance. Wasn’t necessarily in the market but this popped up and I’m tempted. I have never owned a jet boat, so going into this raw for lack of better terms.

2004 Yamaha ar230. Twin engine jet drive.

Based on the research I did it these motors are borderline the corollas of the water. That year suffers from injector modules getting wet other than that normal things. Any input there?

No hour meter but has paperwork from last year at 630 hours, and it should still be under 700 but is willing to take it up to get the hours.

Willing to do lake test as well.

Just based off looks what do you guys think? It’s priced at 18k. Comes with 10 life jackets, several boards and tubes (not that it changes anything lol)

2014 Yamaha AR192 @ full capacity question

Just sold my larger boat and picked this up, I don’t get out as often.

Question, if I have 6 adults on it, is it even drivable?

I had a 19 footer years ago but was stern drive and could barely handle 4 people. Wondering if these boats have the same issue?

First timer looking for the right model for family of 4

Hello, I am looking to buy a 2019+ model. We are a family of 4, two kids (girls) age 9 and 6. We have two jet skis currently, but will be selling them to fund a boat instead. A boat seems like it would better suit our needs as a family versus 2 skis.

We live 1/3mi away from a private launch in our community (Lake Norman NC), so launching is quick and easy.

Currently we've been looking at models such as an AR195 or 195S, but I've been expanding our search and have seen some 2020 models such as a 212S which offer twin 1.8 and more room. I'm wondering if a larger size such as the 21ft with twin engines would be the better package versus a smaller 19ft with a 1.8L SVHO. I'm also concerned about 20-22 models since we know they had covid quality issues.

We aren't really social people and don't plan to have more than 1-2 extra people on the boat in some instances. For the most part it will just be us 4 and maybe our GSD.

New boats are out of the budget. Trying to stay below $40k for a first boat to ensure 1) we like having a boat and 2) if we decide to jump to a bigger size we aren't eating a lot of depreciation on a new model.

6 days in a wet slip for a lake trip. To cover or not to cover?

Pretty much the title. Taking the boat to Deep Creek Maryland at the end of July and it’s going to be sitting in a wet slip all week. Never really hot and the sun isn’t too bad. The cover attaches and sits a few inches below the water line. Assuming there won’t be any rain (I’d cover it if forecasted) and we will be on the boat pretty much all of the daylight hours, should I cover it at night or let it ride?

I do maintain a protective 303 spray for the seats and also am pretty consistent with cleaning it up after use.

Thoughts?

Help identify 9.9 model

Hello, I purchased a 9.9 2 stroke and the tag was worn and the circle tag on the engine is as well. Anyone have an idea for year and model? Top of engine says 682c and it’s short shaft. Thanks
