You can’t hate Yoko and love John.
Yoko Ono haters almost always have the same reasons. Some people say they hate her screaming, or they just naturally don’t like her, (which is a stupid reason), and this stuff is only said by jealous people who have never actually gone deeper into her life, and only see her skin deep.
Or, they actually give good reasons as to why they dislike her, but then proceed to praise John!!!!
I think it’s completely okay to dislike Yoko. however, you can’t be a big fan of John and not like Yoko Ono. John did just as much bad things as Yoko did, if not more. If you like John and hate Yoko then I believe that you’re just a jealous person that dosen’t actually hate her because she did bad things, you only hate her because you’re jealous, or racist, or misogynistic, so on and so forth..
Today I will be doing this, but with beans. Maybe you can do it too.
What are the saddest Yoko songs? Lyrically and/or musically
I want to make a playlist of the more melancholy of Yoko's output, and would appreciate any suggestions from people in this sub!
Best song from approximately infinite universe other than ‘I have a woman inside my soul’ ?
reddit.comJohn Lennon on his last day in England, 13 August 1971
As you may know, John Lennon and Yoko Ono departed England to New York City at the Heathrow Airport and unfortunately would never return there again. He's wearing the same hat from the In His Own Write book and in the A Hard Day's Night and Help! films.
In December 1980, just days before his murder - Lennon had told his beloved Aunt Mimi that he was homesick and planning a visit back to England but it did not happen tragically.
Unable to Locate Picture
Hello! I am looking for a lovely photo of Yoko in her younger years, around the first time she was with John. It's this image of her where she's laughing, or just smiling very toothily, and she's framed at a 3/4 angle. Honestly, I've been scouring the internet for it for a good minute and I cannot find a thing. If anyone in this subreddit would be able to help, that would be grand!
It's sort of like this, but she's sat in a sort of chair or some other, facing further to the right. Much thanks!
Rufus Wainwright, Kathleen Hanna, Yo La Tengo Celebrate the Radical Music of Yoko Ono
rollingstone.comlate night thought: whoever runs her estate (Sean?) should revive the Ono dance/club and mixes
