How usable are the rear seats in a Z32 2+2?
I've been looking into Nissan 300ZXs as my first car and I'm pretty set on getting one. My biggest concern is the rear-seat space since I sometimes drive around with three friends.
Does anyone know the actual measurements or approximate legroom between the back of the front seats and the rear seats? I've seen people say the rear seats are basically unusable, but I'm wondering how bad they really are for teenagers and shorter trips.
Also, if I install slimmer aftermarket bucket seats, would that make a noticeable difference in rear legroom, or is the cabin just too small for that to matter?
Has anyone modified the rear seats themselves? For example, are there thinner rear seats, custom rear seats, or any other interior modifications that can make the back seats more usable, or is the car's overall cabin size the real limiting factor?
For those of you who own or have owned a Z32 2+2, how practical is it when you're carrying three passengers? Are the rear seats actually usable, or do people start complaining after 10 minutes?
And if there are any other cool, somewhat niche alternatives in a similar price range, I'd love to hear them. I'm pretty attached to the Z32's looks and overall vibe, so it'd have to be something with a similar feel.
