Acorn TV Wants Their Own "Murder, She Wrote".( You're Killing Me Explained )

This dawned on me after watching the third episode of Acorn TV's new show, You're Killing Me. Supposedly Jamie Lee Curtis is making a new Murder, She Wrote series and is updating it for a "Modern Audience". In other words, the audience that doesn't exist and sends Hollywood Blockbusters to the box office basement. It's supposed to be darker than the original starring Angela Lansbury. So lets look at Acorn's You're Killing Me for a second. You have an older mystery writer who lives in Maine, has some friends and quirky police characters and they threw in a younger, plucky sidekick. They beat Ms. Curtis to the punch and cranked out a Murder, She Wrote clone that , for me, is better than what Hollywood has promised. I used to watch Murder, She Wrote fairly often and still read the original novels to this day. While I have mixed feelings about You're Killing Me, I have to hand it to Acorn TV. On paper, at least, it's a brilliant idea.

How are you all feeling about "You're Killing Me."

I'm in the midst of the third episode. Is it growing on you or wearing out its welcome?
