Apex 1 - black or white?

The Apex 1 is already a familiar sight in Black — but White brings a completely different aesthetic to the loop.

Which style would you go for?

Thermaltake Tower 900 with Alphacool Core components Matrix Style

This is another build in my Thermaltake Tower 900. I was previously using a Lian Li V3000 Plus and well still am just for another separate build. I saw some Thermaltake Swafans on sale on Amazon for $29.99 a set and decided to get 4 sets for this case. Also I decided to get a XFX RX 9070 XT to go in this build as well. I figured since I was going to use this case I might as well get some new liquid cooling hardware from Alphacool. I purchased a Core gpu block, a Core 1 cpu block, and finally 2 Core 200 reservoir pump tops. I already had a Core 1 LT cpu block and was using it until I noticed it had cracks between the 2 G 1/4 holes in the top. I opted to get a regular Core 1 block and I like it a lot (it's rather heavy for it's size). In addition to those items I have 2 Alphacool ST30 480mm radiators, various Alphacool fittings, tubing from Mayhems, EKWB Cryofuel Space Black fluid, cable holders from Evil Energy, a MSI X670E ACE motherboard, Thermaltake Tough Ram DDR5 6000 CL36 32GB, Sound Blaster AE-5 Plus soundcard, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, EVGA G+1300W power supply, Cablemod power supply cables, and a 7 inch display I also purchased on Amazon.

Watercooled my 2U server

I was not happy with the performance of the AXP90-X47 CPUcooler, even with 120mm Noctua slim fan the little AMD 8600G CPU was throttling and maxing out at ~55W. I've recently added a dedicated GPU to the server, so I would like to get a beefier CPU in the future, if thermal headroom allows.

So I decided to build a small loop with a 2x80mm radiator. Only problem it would not fit in the case.

3D printing to the rescue.

Case: Silverstone RM23-502-MINI
Radiator: Alphacool UT60
Fans: 4x ARCTIC P8 Max in push/pull configuration

Now the CPU can run the full 88W TDP no problem.
The fans go to 5000RPM, but for noice levels I have set a fan curve where they rarely exceed 3500 RPM.

Watercooled Steam Machine Build Video

You guys asked for the video and more infos on the waterblock. Waterblock was made with the carvera air, which is a budget desktop cnc. That’s why the quality isn’t super good, but that’s all we have. Need to open it again and work now on the vrm cooling which is quite challenging as the mosfets are super tiny… and also they run quite on the limits of thermal design which sucks

Checking my cart for an O11 Dynamic Mini V2 Hybrid Loop (Hardtubes up front, Softtubes in the back). Did I miss anything?

Hey everyone,

I'm planning a custom watercooling loop for a Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 and would love a sanity check on my parts list before I order.

The concept: hybrid dual-chamber design

To get the best of both worlds, I'm splitting the loop into two zones:

  • Main chamber (visible through glass): Clean 14mm PETG hardtubing for the CPU block, radiator, and pass-through.
  • Rear chamber (hidden behind the panel): Flexible 10/16mm PVC softtubing connecting to the DDC pump.
  • Pump placement: The DDC pump/res combo sits in the rear chamber, next to the PSU/drive area.
  • The pass-through: A G1/4" female-to-female extender links a 14mm hardtube fitting in front to a 10/16mm softtube fitting in back.

Why hybrid? It keeps the front pristine, absorbs DDC pump vibration, and avoids nasty bends in the cramped rear chamber.

On sourcing: I'm currently planning to order from bykski.de — is there a better option with shipping to Switzerland at reasonable rates? Thanks in advance!
