Hi everyone! I’m an Ethiopian native Amharic speaker, and I’m offering online Amharic lessons for anyone who’s interested in learning the language.

Whether you’re starting from zero, or have an Ethiopian family/friends, are planning to visit Ethiopia, or just want to understand and speak Amharic more naturally ..I’d be happy to help. :)

I have 2+ years of teaching experience, and I try to keep lessons relaxed and practical rather than making you memorize endless vocabulary lists 😅

This year I created a new website to learn Amharic. I created it as a way for me to learn because established websites did not have the option to learn Amharic. My website has leasons, games, fidel writer (with grading), quizes, flash cards, challenges and more! You get XP for every lesson, quiz, challenge you complete. You can follow friends, see their scores on games and their daily streaks. Please consider using this website it is completely free. I am currently working on also turning this into a mobile ios and android app. They are currently in internal testing and will hopefully be released soon.

I am planning to get a tattoo in amharic, and sadly don’t have anyone around me that would able to verify my translation. I was wondering if anyone could translate this and/or let me know if it sounds ok? I am trying to say something along the lines of finding peace within
