Going to be my first time! I will go a day earlier to explore Toronto. Are there cool places to go near the convention center?

I’ve been wanting to elevate some of my cosplays by doing dremel and sanding work, but I live in a condo and can’t risk doing any of that in a small space. I would try my balcony with a dust box but I don’t want loose particles being sucked into my ventilation(there’s a large vent that takes in air x.x)
Does anyone know of any community work spaces one can do this in?
