Maybe this is really dumb but I invented a new stat that adds defensive trick play value to OPS. I call it PPP for on-base (P)lus slugging (P)lus trick (P)lays.
I was looking at Banana Ball stats and I noticed there was no inclusion of Trick Plays into offensive rate calculations which I feel is a travesty since trick plays do translate into points so there is value in recording trick play outs
So the percent of trick play outs is the number of trick play outs/games*24. I picked 24 because I can't find anywhere if TP Outs in the 9th inning count since they cant count towards game points and most games do not actually have 27 outs like boring lame baseball. In the future I would like to pick a more accurate number like total # of outs by the team while that player is feilding.
Oh and I picked the name because OPT is lame sounding and OPSPTP is funny how long it is but I think PPP is funny so I went with that.
